26 Oct 2025
Overall, it was a good experience, but I’ve noticed a reduction in spending per person on dining since my last QM2 voyage. The menu was poor, making it difficult to find something we could eat for dinner. The meal quality was generally poor, with meals being warm rather than hot. It certainly wasn’t what it once was.
The staff were mostly excellent and willing to please, but we had an issue with a sewage smell in our cabin. The plumber was very rude and dismissive of the problem, and it wasn’t resolved for the entire four-week voyage.
The entertainment and shows were good, but they were repeated during the voyage. You don’t want to see a show you’ve already seen!
The speakers and talks were generally poor, apart from Clare Balding who was excellent, far more interesting speakers on previous Cunard cruises.
Despite these issues, I’d still rather be onboard than at home!
