We wanted to try Cunard after sailing with P&O.
The embarcation was efficient and friendly. All the staff work incredibly hard. We especially loved the staff served Artisan buffet. So much safer and the food served was amazing.
We dined most nights in the main dining room where the staff really look after you and we're so friendly. Maybe they could have a bigger selection of vegetables would be my only criticism.
There was entertainment for every taste, whether semi-formal dancing, silent disco, movies, exercise classes, quizzes, deck games, choir, multiple talks, theatre productions and talented musicians to name some included in the fare.
The ship had the great ability of feeling not as large as it was and we found it very easy to navigate after the usual few days. It never felt overcrowded at all, far from it!
Our inside cabin was spotless and kept so, throughout the voyage, offering a turn down service with chocolates. The only thing we found was that the air conditioning could have been better at night and the shower cubical had a whiff of drains unless we were in port when the extractor seemed to be more powerful for some reason. We did report this to the cabin steward.
We didn't try the speciality restaurants so cannot comment on them but there are Steak, Mediterranean and Indian restaurants. I particularly enjoyed eating a few times during the day at the wellness cafe. It gave very healthy options. Nice and fresh for a lunch or breakfast.
Our Mediterranean cruise was lovely but we found the trips expensive and a little chaotic at the start of them.
Overall, at the right price we would certainly cruise on QAnne/Cunard again without a doubt.

Great experience. Excellent holiday. Service, entertainment and dining were all first class.
To be improved. Surcharge for tips was not expected and needs to be more visible when booking the holiday. Any on shore experience which involves the beach should include towells otherwise what is the point? The cost of drinks should be made explicit at the point of ordering because it is difficult to keep a track when drinks packages are involved.

Drinks and gratuities are expensive on this ship but Queen Anne is full of class , quality and good service and if you are careful is still good value

Cape of Good Hope
Jutting out dramatically into the South Atlantic Ocean, the Cape of Good Hope is a breathtakingly beautiful natural landmark boasting incredible coastline views, sensational wildlife spotting opportunities, and an interesting history worth taking the time to learn more about – and, it’s a peninsula that’s commonly mistaken for being the southernmost point in Africa, but that’s actually Cape Agulhas, which is about 150 km eastwards. When it was first discovered by Portuguese explorer Bartolomeu Dias in 1488, this rocky headland was known as the Cape of Storms, but John II of Portugal renamed it the Cape of Good Hope in an effort to reflect the incredible optimism borne out of having an open sea route to India and the East. When you’re here, you’ll have the chance to see everything from ostrich and chacma baboons to African penguins and more; so, it’s definitely worth bringing a pair of binoculars when visiting.
Boulders Penguin Colony
Getting its name from the granite boulders that surround it, Boulders Beach is located on the Cape Peninsula in South Africa. Not only is this beach incredibly scenic, but it’s also a popular place to visit because of the thriving colony of African penguins that call it home.
