Taxi company at airport , dreadful and unprofessional . Hotel fab .
Ship lovely , would be nice to be able to talk to fella guests without loud music in the Martini bar .

Ports of call good / could not tender at Troy due to sea swell ?? have tendered in conditions twice as rough no problem , perhaps due the the agility of the majority of the passengers! the air conditioning in our cabin was overbearing and difficult to control, leaving us with extremely dry throats , the food was not as good as The Best Cuisine At Sea advertised but was o. k. Plenty of nice things about Nautica , cabin staff were excellent as were the majority of the staff . Will look at Oceania again on a larger ship

We really enjoyed this cruise. The itinerary was excellent and made extra special because the weather was so good.
Positives
Clean and good standard of fittings

Good drinks availability although if not on the package we were it would have been expensive.
Good choice of food available for normal dietary requirements
Negatives
Some staff weren’t as efficient, maybe new to the ship. We had some time waiting for food in Grand Dining and on one occasion orders mixed up which was worrying considering one of the meals was gluten free.
Disappointed with Toscana restaurant as lobster not the best and sauce poor quality. Having said that my husband had Fillet Mignon which he said was great.
Gluten free options were not labelled in the Terrace restaurant and we had to ask about everything the servers didn’t always know and had to get the chef which sometimes took several minutes. They were good at offering alternatives but it would have been smother if foods labelled.
Gluten Free desert choice was poor often only fruit or soufflé of the day. I thought it was strange that deserts weren’t included on the pre order menu which was completed each morning ready for the evening meal.
We didn’t feel overall that, compared to other cruises we have been on, the food was “best at sea” as described.

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
Shinjuku Gyoen was built on the foundations of Lord Naito's private residence. A mixture of a few different gardens, including French, English and Japanese, the park's varied and well-kept gardens are ideal for strolling around, photographing or even enjoying an afternoon picnic.
Edo-Tokyo Museum
The Edo-Tokyo Museum is a portal to the past with its exhibitions describing both visually and through historical text, the history of Edo (now known as Toyko). Here visitors can learn about and experience numerous aspects of Edo, such as people's daily lives, Edo Period architecture, cultural heritage, political climate and much more.
Senso-ji Temple
Sensoji Temple, Tokyo's oldest temple, houses a statue of the goddess of mercy, Kannon. Sensoji is a must-see location in Japan, surrounded by imposing gates, a five-storey pagoda and the vibrant market of Nakamise Dori.

Sacred Mountains & Temples
Wakayama’s sacred mountains and temples, particularly Koyasan (Mt. Koya), offer a serene, 1,200-year-old spiritual retreat. It is a truly "otherworldly" experience, with cedar-lined trails connecting three sacred shrines—Kumano Hongu Taisha, Kumano Hayatama Taisha, and Kumano Nachi Taisha—often accompanied by hot springs like Kawayu Onsen. Walk through Japan's largest cemetery, a holy, moss-covered forest that houses hundreds of thousands of tombstones and the mausoleum of Kobo Daishi, the founder of Shingon Buddhism.
Wakayama City
Wakayama City is a lovely coastal city just south of Osaka that is frequently regarded as an overlooked, off-the-beaten-path treasure. The old Wakayama Castle is located in the city centre and offers stunning views across the city. It is bordered by lovely parks and houses various temples, notably Kimii-dera, which is noted for having the earliest cherry blossoms in Kansai.
Beaches
Shirahama Beach, often known as "White Beach," is the most well-known site, with imported white sand, magnificent turquoise ocean, and a 600-metre crescent-shaped shoreline that is sometimes likened to Waikiki Beach due to its sister-city association. The village is famed for its hot springs. Saki-no-yu, one of Japan's oldest, provides outdoor baths just next to the crashing ocean waves. The area is well-known for its fresh seafood, particularly tuna, and there are numerous restaurants and cafés along the coastline.
Kochi

Kochi Castle

Botanical Garden
Dedicated to the ‘father of Japanese botany’ Dr. Tomitaro Makino, these picturesque gardens showcase over 3000 plant species and spans an impressive 6 hectares. Throughout the gardens, you’ll find tropical plants encased in different structures, such as a greenhouse.
Chikurin Ji Temple
Another popular attraction in the city is the Chikurin Ji Temple. A serene temple surrounded by breathtaking plant life, it was constructed in the 20th century. A prominent five-stories pagoda, it features shrines and a 14th century garden.
Kagoshima

A beautiful seaside city, Kagoshima boasts an active volcano that overlooks Kinko Bay. Due to its warm temperature, palm tree-lined streets and the volcano, the city has been compared with Naples in Italy. Kagoshima City Aquarium
Situated next to the Sakurajima ferry terminal, the aquarium opened in 1997. Spanning 7 floors, the aquarium is home to an array of marine life (including rays, giant whale sharks and tropical fish) and the impressive Kuroshio fish tank.
Hirakawa Zoo
This huge zoo is full of an array of animals, from giraffes and koalas to elephants, alongside amusement rides, a children’s playground and a gift shop. A popular attraction with locals and tourists, it’s a vibrant place to visit whilst in Kagoshima.
Sengan-en Gardens
A traditional garden that’s on the northern coast, it’s full of streams, shrines, bamboo groves and ponds. Constructed in 1658, the Sengan-en Gardens is a tranquil and historic attraction in the city.
