Discover local landmarks on a walking tour including 30 ancient monuments, learn about the tragic story of the Titanic and escape to the great outdoors at the New Forest National Park. With numerous options for seafood dining and even a free art gallery, Southampton is an undoubtedly great destination for a pre or post-cruise stay.
Nestled on the coastline of the Bay of Biscay, Gijon is home to an extensive maritime history. Numerous heritage buildings throughout the city have roots in the Roman age, which will make even a leisurely stroll a fascinating journey through time. Discover the Old Town which offers most attractions in close proximity, including the Roman Baths, Plaza Mayor and a museum. You can also visit the fishing village Cimadevilla for delectable seafood.
Not too far from the Portuguese border, Vigo is a lively Spanish port city boasting an atmospheric historic centre and a dynamic cultural scene, making it a fantastic destination on any European cruise itinerary. With some of the best seafood in Spain and an appealing authenticity you’re not going to find as easily in tourist hotspots like Barcelona and Seville, the stunning scenery here is worth taking the time to appreciate. On the nation’s west coast, Vigo also acts as a charming gateway to destinations like Santiago de Compostela – an impressive city home to stunning Baroque architecture, warm weather in the summer months, and plenty of places to refresh yourself and enjoy the local cuisine.
Maceió is a magnificent northeastern Brazilian coastal city, often known as Brazil's tropical paradise, with crystal-clear waters and palm-fringed beaches. It has a relaxing, tropical atmosphere with warm water, palm palms, and a 6 km bustling waterfront area (Orla). It has fewer Western tourists than other seaside cities, providing a more genuine Brazilian vibe.
The capital city of Bahia, the fourth-largest Brazilian state, Salvador is a bustling urban centre boasting impressive colonial architecture, stunning Baroque-style churches, and breathtaking scenery. Spread across a peninsula separating the beautiful Bay of All Saints with the South Atlantic Ocean, you’ll find both a charming waterfront and incredible beaches here – with the hot tropical climate making sun-soaking on the golden sand all-the-more alluring. However, there’s also a lot of history to uncover here, so there’s plenty to keep you occupied if sunbathing isn’t something you want to spend your time doing. One of Brazil’s oldest cities, and an important port during the African slave trade, you’ll find a fantastic blend of cultures and cuisines in Salvador – things that only make visits here even more memorable.
Ilhéus is a historic city on the Bahia coast of Brazil, once the heart of the country's cocoa boom and the setting for Jorge Amado's famous novels. Its colonial architecture, lively culture and golden beaches reward exploration. Surrounded by cocoa plantations and Atlantic forest, it offers a rich and atmospheric taste of Bahia.

Fantastic ship, spotlessly clean and extreamly friendly staff. Embarktion was exceptionally quick, our room was spacious and very clean. Food was outstanding, buffet was busy but only to be expected with so mamy people on board, but evening meal was outstanding. Good choice of options and served quickly and always arrived hot. Entertainment was always gping on around you and catered for all ages.
MSC offer two seated dining options, which they call Classic Dining. There is an early sitting at around 7pm and a late sitting at around 9pm. These sittings can varyby ship. MSC also offer a more flexible dining option called 'My Time' dining. This allows you to chose the time that you dine in the main restaurant. Aurea guests have an anytime dining option.
MSC offers a wide range of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-sodium choices. Guests can notify the cruise line in advance, and the onboard dining team strives to cater to individual dietary requirements.
MSC guests are limited to two suitcases and two pieces of hand luggage when checking in for their cruise. However, we highly recommend that you read your cruise ticket in full before travelling as these limits may change.
Apart from their fantastic formal and themed evenings, MSC guests are invited to wear casual resort attire whilst on board. Casual resort attire would incude a shirt with chinos, or summer dresses and a jacket. Whislt formal wear would be a suit or smart evening trousers with a jacket and tie, and cocktail dresses.

If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking.
