MSC offer two seated dining options, which they call Classic Dining. There is an early sitting at around 7pm and a late sitting at around 9pm. These sittings can varyby ship. MSC also offer a more flexible dining option called 'My Time' dining. This allows you to chose the time that you dine in the main restaurant. Aurea guests have an anytime dining option.
MSC offers a wide range of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-sodium choices. Guests can notify the cruise line in advance, and the onboard dining team strives to cater to individual dietary requirements.
MSC guests are limited to two suitcases and two pieces of hand luggage when checking in for their cruise. However, we highly recommend that you read your cruise ticket in full before travelling as these limits may change.
Apart from their fantastic formal and themed evenings, MSC guests are invited to wear casual resort attire whilst on board. Casual resort attire would incude a shirt with chinos, or summer dresses and a jacket. Whislt formal wear would be a suit or smart evening trousers with a jacket and tie, and cocktail dresses.
Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.

The UK’s largest cruise port and where many will begin their cruise holiday, Southampton has no shortage of maritime and historical attractions. Discover local landmarks on a walking tour including 30 ancient monuments, learn about the tragic story of the Titanic and escape to the great outdoors at the New Forest National Park. With numerous options for seafood dining and even a free art gallery, Southampton is an undoubtedly great destination for a pre or post-cruise stay.
Things to do in Southampton:

Solent Sky Museum
Home to over 20 aircraft that were integral to the war effort, Solent Sky Museum is dedicated to the history of the RAF. Southampton itself played a large role in producing Supermarine Spitfires, which you’ll learn all about here.
The New Forest
If you’re looking to escape the busy port city, the New Forest National Park is just a short distance away with native New Forest ponies and lush heathland. Visitors can also catch events, activities and workshops throughout the year.
Tudor House and Garden
As Southampton’s most important historic building, this restored home holds over 800 years of history after having numerous owners. Now a museum, it showcases many artefacts once belonging to past residents of Southampton, as well as a Tudor House Café.
Southampton City Art Gallery
Since opening in 1939, this free art gallery has showcased exhibitions of sculptures, photography and traditional paintings. Thanks to an ever-changing programme of activities, you’ll find something here that the whole family will enjoy.

Lerwick, Shetland Islands
DAY 3
20 Sep 2027
Time at Port: from 7 AM to 2 PM
The Shetland Islands' only town, Lerwick is home to half of the island's population, and while it may be small, there's plenty to do during your time here. Perfect for those who love spending time outdoors, explore this remote part of Scotland by foot as you soak up the local wildlife, from ponies to rare birds. Before you leave, be sure to visit the Shetland Museum and Archive and the Mareel, where you'll learn more about life in Lerwick.
Things to do in Lerwick, Shetland Islands:
Shetland Museum & Archives
An award-winning Museum, the Shetland Museum and Archives is situated in the centre of Lerwick. At this modern museum, you’ll learn all about the history of the islands and discover an array of collections. Run by the Shetland Amenity Trust, this is a unique dive into the cultural heritage of the islands.
Broch of Clickimin
A key point of interest in Lerwick is the Clickimin Loch. Dating back to 500 AD, it has immortalised the settlement of travellers who came to the island years ago. Within it, you’ll find the Broch Tower, alongside remains of other historic structures.
Fort Charlotte
Located in the centre of Lerwick, Fort Charlotte is an artillery fort dating to the late 17th century. Built to defend against the Second Dutch War, it features several bastions and other historic features; a fascinating landmark to explore in Lerwick.
Skjolden
DAY 4
21 Sep 2027
Time at Port: from 9 AM to 8 PM
Skjolden is a picturesque village in Vestland County, Western Norway. It’s part of the Lustre municipality, and located at the head of the Sognefjorden, the longest navigable fjord in the world, making the sail there a spectacle in and of itself. With a small population of only 300 inhabitants, if the busyness of a major city is what you're looking for, you're in the wrong area; on the other hand, if you want peace and quiet together with a breathtaking landscape, you're in the perfect spot. With 3 national parks at its doorstep (Jostedalsbreen, Breheimen and Jotunheimen), alongside a variety of other attractions, you’ll have an unforgettable stop in Skjolden.
Things to do in Skjolden:
Wittgenstein Lodge
The Wittgenstein family was one of the most powerful in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy in the second part of the nineteenth century. Hochreit, Karl Wittgenstein's hunting lodge, was furnished by Hoffmann in 1907 and is situated in a lovely area directly on the lake. Inside, feel like you've been transported back in time as you discover the historic future from the early 19th century.
Åsafossen
A stunning waterfall that is reachable on foot from the cruise port, the Asafossen waterfall is simply stunning. Measuring 180m, this impressive attraction rushes down the slope across the street from Vassbakken Kro & Camping in Skjolden. And over the years, Sherpas from Nepal have strengthened and protected the ascent to the waterfall, making it quite simple to walk up to it.
Skjolden Llamas
If you’ve ever wanted to meet or walk llamas, you’re in for a treat. At this scenic farm you can opt to walk along the lake and get to know these amazing animals. And with the farm being located just 500 metres from the centre of Skjolden, it’s perfectly located for those wanting to stay closer to the ship.
Nordfjordeid
DAY 5
22 Sep 2027
Time at Port: from 10 AM to 6 PM
From wandering along stretches of white sandy beach to hiking to icy blue glaciers, Nordfjordeid is a fantastic starting point for outdoor excursions. Hiking is particularly popular, and with over 200 marked trails to choose from, there's a hike to suit every ability and age, though you can also hop on the Loen Skylift to take you straight to the best views. Alternatively, for those looking to immerse themselves in Norway's history, head to the largest known Viking ship, Myklebustskipe.
Things to do in Nordfjordeid:
Opera Nordfjord
The second opera theatre in Norway and the home of Opera is the Nordfjord Opera theatre. North of the Sagastad Viking Centre, in the western Norwegian town of Nordfjordeid, it's run by the Vestland County Municipality and Stad Municipality. It houses an array of performances, including theatre shows, concerts and more. It’s also a cinema and library.
Viking Center
If you want to learn all about the Vikings, head to the Sagastad Viking Centre. From the 30-metre Myklebust long ship to other fascinating displays and artefacts, it will make you feel as though you’ve been transported back in time. An incredible museum in Nordfjordeid, it’s a popular attraction in the area.
Sagaparken
Located nearby to the Viking centre is the picturesque Sagaparken. With incredible views of the surrounding fjord, it’s the ultimate place to sit and watch the world go by. A popular picnic spot, there’s lots of benches and green spaces within it to enjoy.
Sandnes
DAY 6
23 Sep 2027
Time at Port: from 10 AM to 6 PM
Just a short distance from Stavanger, and sitting at the southern end of the Gandsfjord, Sandnes is among the most southern Norwegian cruise destinations, something that means it enjoys slightly more temperate weather throughout the year. Why is this important? Well, as a rather narrow city surrounded by an abundance of excellent hiking and walking routes, it makes exploring this remarkable region a lot easier. A fantastic cruise destination for travellers who want to get up and out to explore the great outdoors, you’ll find an abundance of breathtaking views when you head out on an adventure in Sandnes. Although, this destination isn’t just great for the hikers among you; you’ll find all the charm of a smaller Norwegian town, but all the amenities of a bustling city, in Sandnes. With fantastic restaurants and cafes, attractions like the Vitenfabrikken (Science Centre) and Atelier K. Fossum art gallery, and plenty of urban parks to stroll through, there are more ways than one to make the most of a visit to Sandnes while cruising Scandinavia.
Things to do in Sandnes:
Dalsnuten
One of the most popular hiking routes in the region is the hike to Dalsnuten, a peak by the Gandsfjord that stands over 330 metres above sea level; a reasonably accessible route that’s suitable for the whole family, views from Dalsnuten are stunning – and, if you want to spend a little more time exploring the area, there are plenty of ways to extend your hike on the way up. With routes affording you the chance to see the remains of the Lundane homestead, an old farm and its orchard, and more insights into what life in rural Norway was like, you’ll find an adventure here refreshing and rewarding.
Sverd i fjell
Known as “Swords in Rock” in English, Sverd i fjell is an impressive monument in Stavanger (which is just north of Sandnes) commemorating the historic Battle of Hafrsfjord, which took place in 872. The battle that resulted in King Harald Fairhair uniting all of Norway under one crown, the monument depicts three bronze swords – the largest of which representing the victorious Harald, while the other two represent the defeated petty kings. Planted in solid rock, so that the swords may never be removed and wielded again, the monument also represents peace.
Kongeparken
If you’re looking for something a little different, Kongeparken – which sits just south of Sandnes – is one of the largest amusement parks in the region and home to more than 50 rides, along with restaurants and other theme-park attractions. While largely aimed at younger children, from ages 3 to 12, you’ll find fun for the whole family here.
