Tips

When booking the Princess Standard fare, a daily crew appreciation charge is applied to your account depending on your cabin category. If you opt for the Princess Plus or Princess Premier fares, these daily service charges are fully included in the cost of your cruise.

Specialty Dining

While dining at speciality restaurants usually costs extra on board, upgrading to the Princess Premier fare fully includes unlimited speciality dining throughout your cruise.

Car parking

Car parking at the port or airport is not included in the cost of your cruise, and this cannot currently be booked through Iglu Cruise. However, please contact us after you have made your booking if you would like to add this to your package, so we can discuss options. An approximate cost for parking during a cruise is around £12 to £20 per car per day. Alternatively, transfers can be arranged.

Excursions

If you would like to do any excursions/tours while docked these will be an additional charge. Excursions/tours can’t currently be booked with us online but please contact us after you have made the booking if you would like to add these to your package. Alternatively these can be bought while on the ship but may be more expensive than pre-booking.

Really good shop with lots going on all day and every evening. The formal nights were not very popular with the majority of the customers though. Really good food especially if you have the premium package. Our biggest problems was booking through Iglu cruises. I would not recommend sailing from San Juan as the port is capable of accommodating large cruise ships. The port was gridlocked for several hours with taxis not being able to get into or out of the port. Our biggest issue was that we were not able to book the speciality restaurants although we paid for the premium package that allowed us to use these dining venues for no extra cost. This was due to the Iglu policy where payment to the cruise line is maxed weeks after you make your final payment to Iglu. When Iglu had made the final payment on our behalf we tried to book these venues but we weee unable to do so as they were already fully booked.

Compared to other cruise ships we have sailed on, our cabin was a little too small. the shower unit was much too small and the fixed shower head proved to be difficult for my wife to use. As she is only 5' tall a flexible shower hose would have been much easier for her to use. this applied to the other member of our group in the next cabin as well. .

I have just spent a couple of hours reviewing the Princess Cruise. Comparing this cruise with our previous cruises, Princess come the bottom of our list. Because: the cabin was too small, the drinks packages were far too expensive (so did not use and became tea totalers), the restaurants that did not cost extra were disappointing (the Buffet was very good though), the whole enterprise seemed "money grabbing" (eg. no free soft drinks, no cold water without ice).

Princess Cruises offers both traditional dining and their flexible 'Anytime Dining'. Anytime Dining is available from 5:30 to 10 p.m. On most Princess ships the traditional dining times are as follows: Early seating is at 5:30 p.m. 1st seating is at 6 p.m. 2nd seating is at 8:15 p.m.

Princess Cruises offers a wide range of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-sodium choices. Guests can notify the cruise line in advance, and the onboard dining team strives to cater to individual dietary requirements.

Cruises to and from Southampton have no specific baggage quantity limit but require each piece to weigh no more than 23kg for ease of handling. When flying to or from the ship, whether via charter or scheduled flight, luggage restrictions generally range from 20 to 23kg per person. Ensure no individual item exceeds 23kg to facilitate safe handling by the ship's crew.

Princess Cruises embraces a smart-casual approach for evenings, with occasional formal nights. Smart-casual attire includes dresses, skirts, or slacks for women, and collared shirts with dress pants for men.

Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.

Travel requirements
