Day 1-7 Cruise from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires - Overnight onboard
- Day 1
  - Cruise departs from Rio de Janeiro

    3 Feb 2028

    Departs at: 6 pm
    Climb aboard Explora I

    Copacabana Beach

    Christ the Redeemer

    Sugarloaf Mountain

Soak in breathtaking views from Sugarloaf Mountain, relax on vibrant beaches, and immerse yourself in the lively rhythm of Brazil’s iconic city.
- Day 2
  - Parati

    4 Feb 2028

Arrives at: 9 am, Departs at: 6 pm (9 hours in port)

    Forte Defensor

    Serra da Bocaina National Park

Sitting on the Costa Verde (Green Coast), Parati is a tourist hotspot known for its historical town centre, stunning section of coastline, and dramatic mountainous backdrop. Interestingly, the entire town is listed as a National Historic Landmark by IPHAN, with over 80% of the area being protected. The Cairucu Environmental Protection Area, for example, is an important remnant of the Atlantic Forest biome. Meanwhile, the Juatinga Ecological Reserve protects a peninsula and the traditional lifestyle of numerous villages along the coastline around Parati, and the Taimos Ecological Station monitors the marine ecosystem of the area and the nearby Ilha Grande Bay. A charming colonial town with a calmer atmosphere than Brazil’s other coastline settlements, Parati is the perfect place to soak in the sunshine and appreciate the stunning scenery surrounding you. Rest and relaxation are important to every holiday, and you’ll find plenty of that here.
- Day 3
  - Ilhabela

    5 Feb 2028

Arrives at: 8 am, Departs at: 4:30 pm (8 hours in port)

Situated on the southeast coast of Brazil, Ilhabela is a picturesque archipelago with breathtaking beaches, architecture and several attractions that are waiting to be explored. Top highlights on Ilhabela include the Cachoeira da Toca waterfall, Ilhabela State Park and Jabaquara`s Beach.
- Day 4
  - Porto Belo

    6 Feb 2028

Arrives at: 9 am, Departs at: 5 pm (8 hours in port)

    Bombinhas

A stunning seaside destination in southern Brazil, Porto Belo is known for its long stretches of sensational beaches and equally-sensational seafood. With sunbathing and splashing around in the warm aquamarine waters on the cards, and plenty of luscious rainforest to marvel at beyond the beachfront, this stop on your cruise can be a fantastic chance to unwind and relish in the sheer beauty of the world around you. Though, if you’re looking for something more tangible to remember Porto Belo by, you will find shops and boutiques selling local crafts and souvenirs along the seafront – with original artworks, local costume jewellery, and more available.
- Day 5
  - At Sea

    7 Feb 2028
- Day 6
  - Punta del Este

    8 Feb 2028

Arrives at: 9 am, Departs at: 6 pm (9 hours in port)

La Mano de Punta del Este

    Museum of the Seas

    Casapueblo

Known as “The Monaco of the South” and “The Hamptons of South America”, Punta del Este is a stunning seaside resort city in southeastern Uruguay. With a permanent population of around 12,500 people, this holiday hotspot is the ultimate destination for summer sunshine and beachside relaxation. Although, it enjoys warm temperatures throughout the year, so there’s always a good time to visit. The coastline here is split into two regions, with one side featuring thick golden sands and the other a fine white sand – so, you get the best of both worlds if you’re looking to sunbathe while you stop off here. As a popular holiday destination for the affluent, you can also expect to find sensational restaurants, bars, lounges, and more in Punta del Este.
- Day 7-8
  - Buenos Aires - Overnight onboard

    9-10 Feb 2028

    Arrives at: 9 am

    Teatro Colón

    El Caminito

    San Telmo

Stroll through vibrant streets, experience the city’s rich tango culture, and indulge in world-class cuisine in Argentina’s dynamic capital.

Entertainment

Brilliant ship, staff very attentive. Food wonderful. Decor on Explora I is great too. Left Barcelona & after 1 day at sea we anchored in Sardinia at Port Cervo. Tenders took us ashore, but there was nothing there bar a few expensive shops & restaurants! Walked around for 10mins & then went back to ship! Everyone we spoke to said the same, seemed pointless to visit. It was our 50th anniversary whilst on board & our suite was beautifully decorated, however compared to our experience celebrating our 48th anniversary on a previous cruise with another cruise line it fell a little short on making it memorable!

Explora 1 is well designed, luxurious, and a pleasure to travel on. However that cannot be said for the Iglu organised vehicle transfers and pre cruise hotel stay which caused us serious irritation and marred the overall holiday.
