Cunard Price Promise & Cunard Vantage Fares

Cunard Line have a launched the same Price Promise & Vantage Fares as their sister line, P&O Cruises. The new Cunard Vantage Fares and Cunard Prince Promise ensure that customers booking early onboard Cunard's 2013/14 cruises will benefit from the best value for their cruise.

The Vantage fares offer a selection of new benefits, while also ensuring that passengers already booked onto applicable cruises receive retrospective value to their booking. The Cunard Vantage Fares and Cunard Prince Promise will be available from 23rd July 2012 and will relate to cruises departing from 1st April 2013.

  • Added Value Benefits: New Vantage Fares offer an exclusive choice of added value benefits .
  • Protected Fares: New Price Promise offers protected fares.
  • 5% Early Booking Saving: applies to all cruises sailing from April 2014.
  • Free Shuttle Buses: where provided by Cunard Line, applies to all cruises sailing from April 2014.

The new Vantage Fares will offer a selection of additional value to your cruises, this includes the options to enjoy onboard spending money, car parking in Southampton and coach transfers to Southampton. The additional benefits are available to chose from on all cruises of seven nights or more, exact amounts of onboard spend will be cruise dependent. Airport parking will also be available for two-way fly cruises, at an off-site car park at the relevant airport.

Cunard Price Promise

The Cunard Line Price Promise enables customers to book their cruise, confident that the Vantage Fares are protected and that they are receiving the best possible value for their cruise. By booking early on the Vantage Fare, customers have the best selection of cabins and if the fares were to reduce, they will automatically be given a complimentary benefit for their cruise.

The benefits will typically be onboard spend or a cabin upgrade and Cunard will apply a retrospective value to all bookings to the value of the price change — from product launch phase to the prices available from 22nd July 2012. Remuneration may be used in certain circumstances, but will not be offered as standard.

The price promise is applicable to the 2013/14 cruises that were launched in April 2012 and depart from April 2013. Cunard Line may, on occasions, introduce Getaway Fares on selected cruises. These fares may offer different prices and are not supported by our Price Promise. This is due to the fares offering less flexible terms — such as 100% deposit, no changes permitted and 100% cancellation fees.

Dave Mills, Iglucruise's Head of Commercial has been really impressed by this insightful move by Cunard Line: "These new fares are incredible — this a very bold and auspicious move by the usually understated Cunard. Even without the Price Promise, these new prices along with the onboard spending money or free Parking, seem to be saving consumers around £200, often much more.

Once upon a time, you could justify booking late deal — but the last minute savings, if any, are going to be so minimal, that it won’t be worth sacrificing booking the perfect cabin, dining time or table size. Cabin location is such an esoteric benefit — but one which is hugely important in determining how enjoyable your cruise holiday is. The lower deposit amount of just 10%, will also make it easier for customers to bag their perfect cabin, before the best value ones sell out!"
