Car parking

Car parking at the port or airport is not included in the cost of your cruise, and this cannot currently be booked through Iglu Cruise. An approximate cost for parking during a cruise is around £12 to £20 per car per day. Alternatively, transfers can be arranged.

Excursions

If you would like to do any excursions/tours while docked these will be an additional charge. Excursions/tours can’t currently be booked with us online but please contact us after you have made the booking if you would like to add these to your package. Alternatively these can be bought while on the ship but may be more expensive than pre-booking.

Xcel truly was the best ship we'd been on. It was less than a year old so everything was still shiny and new. The space was well designed and we loved the rooftop garden and plunge pools to chill out in, rather than the main pool which is inevitably more chaotic and noisy. The cabins (rooms) were beautiful with a far bigger and better designed bathroom; gone are the old plastic curtains! We booked a balcony cabin on a GTY basis, meaning it was lucky dip, and we were assigned one of the porthole verandahs (there's about 6 either side front and back on certain decks). It was still a lovely cabin but the view was restricted and we got noise from the theatre directly below us. Shame, but it is the chance you take, and it saved us alot of money on booking. Ultimately it didn't spoil the holiday; the food was really good, thd staff brilliant and the weather couldn't have been better. For entertainment, we saw one theatre show (not really our bag) and it was impressive; very talented performers and singers. I heard other shows werre good too - a good mix. We tended to spend our evenings with a couple of drinks after our meal. There was the grand plaza with several bsrs and speciality restaurants to choose from, or the quieter bars, such as Sunset at the back of the ship with the acoustic sets. You must visit the photo booth in the Club on deck 4 one evening. Youll get an unexpected surprise 😉. We liked the changes to the restaurant set up...4 main restaurants to choose from for dinner with different cuisines... all included in price. No buzzers, no queues. This was so much better organised than what weve had before. So much more relaxed and civilised...not rushed. In the nights we didnt want to go in the main restaurant we went yo the Oceanview Csfe (buffet). Always a bit chaotic but really good choice and quality of food. I was happy with my greek yoghurt, fruit etc for breakfast with some sourdough toast! Theres also Spice on deck 5 aft (back) in the Bazaar; a beautiful space with changing decor and a lovely place inside to chill out. Limited opening hours but great for a healthier, less mainstream breakfast with lovely little pastries and savoury filled croissants and speciality coffees and smoothies. We love a cruise, and will only be looking at the newer ships from now on. There's something for everyone and you tailor your cruise to what you want it to be.

Excellent service and high standards throughout, drinks a little overpriced, all free to eat venues were exceptionally with very good food, attentive staff, We ate in the speciality restaurants on 2 occasions, Fine Cut Steak house was fantastic, Bora in my opinion was no better than the standard venues. Entertainment was very good throughout. Cabin 11261 was large and spacious overall an excellent cruise. We chose our own excursions, as usual cruise line excursions are overpriced and not good value in my personal opinion

There are three dining options with Celebrity Cruises; Celebrity Select Dining, Eary, Late and Anytime. Guests who opt to dine on the early or late sitting (6:30pm-8:30pm) will be seated with the same guests on the same table and with the same waiting staff. Thos who wish to dine on the Anytime option will have more flexibility and can choose their dining time (anytime between 6pm and 9:30pm).

Celebrity Cruises offers a range of dietary accommodations, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Passengers can notify the cruise line in advance to enjoy their cruise with personalised dining experiences aligned with their dietary requirements.

The maximum total weight per guest is 90kg, apart from the Xpedition class ships in the Galapagos. Please be aware that airlines have their own luggage restrictions and rules to comply with before and after your time onboard.

Celebrity Cruises promotes a smart-casual dress code for most evenings. Formal nights offer a chance to dress elegantly with evening gowns and tuxedos as an option. The cruise line's website provides specific details about the dress code to help passengers prepare accordingly.

Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.

Travel requirements

All passengers (including all children), should hold their own full 10-year (5 years for children) British Citizen (GBR) passport. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months past your expected return date to the UK, as this is often a criteria for entry to certain countries.
