    Today's Civitavecchia was born as an Etruscan village along the Tyrrhenian coast, but it is believed that the territory has been inhabited since the Neolithic era. The first documents mentioning the city date back to the year 107 AD; the same as the construction of the port which ended three years later. During a stop in Civitavecchia you can visit the Taurine Baths, the Michelangelo Fort, and the Cathedral.

Speciality Dining

Specialty restaurants allow travellers to enhance their dining experience during the cruise. This is a great way to add variety to your holiday or celebrate a special occasion. You can pay for meals in the special dining restaurants onboard.

Car parking

Car parking at the port or airport is not included in the cost of your cruise, and this cannot currently be booked through Iglu Cruise. However, please contact us after you have made your booking if you would like to add this to your package, so we can discuss options. An approximate cost for parking during a cruise is around £12 to £20 per car per day. Alternatively, transfers can be arranged.

Excursions

If you would like to do any excursions/tours while docked these will be an additional charge. Excursions/tours can’t currently be booked with us online but please contact us after you have made the booking if you would like to add these to your package. Alternatively these can be bought while on the ship but may be more expensive than pre-booking.

Transfers (home to port)

This was our 1st trip on Constellation and we were a bit sceptical as she is one of the oldest ships in the fleet. However we loved the ship, there was always a quiet spot to relax in and many bar areas with excellent entertainment. All staff were so attentive and friendly, being smaller we could get to know them. The standard of food was top class and we also ate in The Tuscan Grill and The Petit Chef both of which were great. The only area we felt let it down was the shower in our stateroom, however we understand the ship is being refurbished in April.

Loved this ship and the cruise itself. All staff were welcoming, the food and drinks were great as expected of Celebrity. The service was perfect and embarkation and disembarkation went quickly and smoothly. Can’t wait to book again!

The staff and service was excellent they couldn't do enough for you. Itinerary was very good Italy and Croatia. Sadly the ship is very tired especially the cabins and our balcony. All in all a good cruise.

A Cruise That Delivered on Every Level The ship may be smaller than some of the more modern additions to the fleet, but that certainly didn’t mean it felt old or tired. If anything, its size gave it a more relaxed and personal feel, while still offering everything you could want from a cruise. The food was, as you would expect from Celebrity, excellent. There was plenty of choice, consistently high quality and something to look forward to at every meal. But for me, the service was what really stood out. The crew were superb throughout the cruise. You were always greeted with a warm smile and a friendly hello whenever you passed a crew member, and that genuine friendliness made such a difference to the whole experience. The entertainment was also excellent — varied, enjoyable and with something for everyone. Whether you wanted to sit back and relax or get involved, there was always something happening. Overall, the cruise delivered on every level. Great food, fantastic service, enjoyable entertainment and a crew who genuinely seemed to care about making your holiday special. Would I sail on her again? Absolutely.

There are three dining options with Celebrity Cruises; Celebrity Select Dining, Eary, Late and Anytime. Guests who opt to dine on the early or late sitting (6:30pm-8:30pm) will be seated with the same guests on the same table and with the same waiting staff. Thos who wish to dine on the Anytime option will have more flexibility and can choose their dining time (anytime between 6pm and 9:30pm).

Celebrity Cruises offers a range of dietary accommodations, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Passengers can notify the cruise line in advance to enjoy their cruise with personalised dining experiences aligned with their dietary requirements.

The maximum total weight per guest is 90kg, apart from the Xpedition class ships in the Galapagos. Please be aware that airlines have their own luggage restrictions and rules to comply with before and after your time onboard.

Celebrity Cruises promotes a smart-casual dress code for most evenings. Formal nights offer a chance to dress elegantly with evening gowns and tuxedos as an option. The cruise line's website provides specific details about the dress code to help passengers prepare accordingly.

Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.

Travel requirements

All passengers (including all children), should hold their own full 10-year (5 years for children) British Citizen (GBR) passport. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months past your expected return date to the UK, as this is often a criteria for entry to certain countries.

Celebrity Cruises strongly recommends that all guests consider purchasing travel insurance to protect themselves against unexpected events that could disrupt their travel plans, such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, baggage loss, or travel delays.
