Meanwhile, families will love Rotterdam Zoo, as well as the Euromast Tower which provides stunning views across the city.
Things to do in Rotterdam:

Veere
DAY 4
04 Jun 2026
Time at Port: TBD
On the shores of the stunning Veerse Meer, a large lagoon in Zeeland, sits Veere: a delightful historic town overflowing with interesting sights, boutique shopping opportunities, delicious local cuisine, and rewarding shore experiences. Boasting a charming town centre full of buildings dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries, you’ll be transported into the past when wandering the streets here – with local history museums and unique fortifications adding to the experience. And, when you want to take a break from that, the waterfront – which is never too far from the quaint shops and markets of Veere – is an attractive place to relax and rest. While being an ideal destination for those after a laid-back shore experience, those of you looking for a more active onshore experience won’t be disappointed. The usually-calm waters of Veerse Meer are ideal for a variety of watersports, and the surrounding countryside can be explored easily on foot and by bicycle. With a population of just 1,500 in the town itself, you’ll never feel rushed off your feet and crowded in Veere; however, you’ll also never feel bored. The welcoming locals only enhance the relaxing atmosphere fostered here, ensuring every visit is rewarding – no matter what type of traveller you are.
Things to do in Veere:

A unique Napoleonic Era fortification just a short walk from the town centre, Stenen Beer is an interesting place to visit when stopping in Veere. Boasting fantastic views of the waterfront and the surrounding scenery, this fascinating historic site includes a well-kept windmill, a rope-drawn bridge, and several underground tunnels to explore.
Stadhuis van Veere
The remarkable Town Hall of Veere, Stadhuis van Veere is a late-Gothic structure constructed circa 1477. Restored several times throughout the years, which has helped to preserve the intricate architecture found here, this is now the home of Museum Veere: a regional museum that explores the history, visual arts, regional costumes, and significant interiors of Veere. Dominating the town centre with a tall tower, this is a fascinating landmark worth exploring.
Grote Kerk Veere (Great Church Veere)
First founded in 1342, with restoration and rebuilding happening several times over the centuries, Grote Kerk Veere is a fascinating late-Gothic basilica in the heart of Veere. Over the years, the structure has been used as a church, a military hospital, an emergency shelter, and even an indoor football field.
