First time on a small ship, we will never go on anything else in future.
From embarkation to the end absolute luxury, in terms of service, food, drinks and space, we never once queued for a lift, had trouble in finding a table at restaurants.
Absolutely loved being able to eat at anytime you wanted to, and able to do,it outside.

If Seabourn is not perfection, then I do not know what is. It was some years since I had travelled with them and it was good to see that their standards had not slipped. The food on board was simply outstanding. The ports visited were pretty ordinary, but this was to be expected as I think that technically this was a repositioning cruise. Thanks to everyone concerned for a great two weeks.

Despite Seabourn advertising 'Dining to suit all tastes' this was our second disappointing cruise with them as unfortunately I believed the hype and booked both cruises at the same time. I have booked 3 cruises with HAL as despite larger ships, at least the food is much better.
We didn't go on excursions as on our first cruise with them others said they were thoroughly disappointed with the excursions.
A shame.

Callao is a charming seaside city in Peru, just a short distance from the nation’s capital, home to stunning sandy beaches (primarily on the La Punta peninsula), a vibrant culture, flavourful Peruvian food, and an extensive naval history. As a vital Spanish settlement throughout the colonial era, and a city home to Peru’s main airport and seaport, there is just so much to discover and enjoy when you travel to this bustling urban centre. Whether you’re looking for a quieter visit, soaking in the atmosphere of the city while you wander its history-rich streets, or something a little more lively with boutique shopping and bars where there’s always a party, Lima has it all.
One of the few existing military fortifications in Peru and the largest military construction by the Spanish in the Americas, the Fortaleza del Real Felipe (Real Felipe Fortress) is an impressive 18th century castle that now houses the Peruvian Army Museum. Throughout history, it has played a pivotal role in both national and international events – with it being a major flashpoint of conflict during colonial power struggles in the 18th century, Peruvian separatist struggles against Spanish colonialism in the 19th century, and the decolonisation of the Americas – given that the loss of this military stronghold in Peru was among the dominos that led to Peruvian independence.
Callao Monumental Turismo historico
A colourful cultural hub in the heart of Callao, this district of the seaport city is home to an array of contemporary art galleries, boutique shopping, and restaurants; with so much culture to immerse yourself in here, and some fantastic authentic Peruvian food to enjoy, this area of Callao offers you an incredible insight into the arts and music that make this city – and indeed Peru as a whole – so special.
Metropolitan Cathedral of Lima
Initially constructed circa 1538, and then reconstructed and improved upon throughout the 18th century, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Lima is a staggering Roman Catholic Church in the heart of Lima; known for being where the Treasure of Lima was hidden in 1820, an infamous urban legend that is yet to be fully proven false despite the fact that no treasure has been found, this cathedral now plays host to a museum showcasing a collection of notable artworks from Lima’s colonial period.

Between its unique coral vineyard and peaceful black pearl farms, it offers a perfect, remote escape into the deep blue of the South Pacific.

The experience is as much about the journey as the wine, often involving a short boat trip across the lagoon to the private islet where the grapes are grown. Against the backdrop of the South Pacific, sample crisp whites and refreshing rosés crafted from vines that have uniquely adapted to the tropical climate and limestone-rich coral soil. It is a fascinating blend of French winemaking tradition and Polynesian ingenuity, providing a sophisticated and unexpected highlight to any trip to Rangiroa.
