Beautiful ship, great cabin with everything you could need

Just a few points to sum up the Scarlett lady. Positives were the cabin was excellent including the Terrace good facilities although no kettle or coffee machine which would've been perfect for the morning when reaching your destination. Ship didn't have a luxury feel the communal areas seemed basic and there wasn't many communal areas to watch the live music. Some of the live music was very good but very repetitive the same axon every day for 12 days! The theatre and the nightclub were poor in my opinion cater solely for a very niche market. Food was okay in most of the restaurants but not as good as I have had on other cruise lines. The drink package is not a package it is a bar tab. Which I understood before we booked this holiday but there was 10% tax added to ordering which I was unhappy about one colour of beer $9. 90 as I was a top in my opinion a lot of the cocktails are pre-mixed probably have the worst piña colada of my life! Would I return back on a virgin voyage? Absolutely not will I cruise again totally and would I use igloo as a travel agent? Apart from some mixup with transfers they were accompanying that were excellent and communicated very well.

I loved Scarlet Lady, she was a beautiful ship and the food was amazing. Also I would like to thank Iglu. com who we went with. Everything was fantastic, the transfers were olways on thi. e with lovely cars and the drivers were polite and very respectful. Infact everything was great from start to finish. Thankyou Iglu.

The cabin was very good it had everything we needed and the cabin steward couldn’t do enough for us . The balcony furniture could have been better while the hammock was great the metal chairs were uncomfortable and not nice to sit on. The food was plentiful and of good quality the only bad meal we had was in Lucky Lotus where we found on our first visit the food was very cold and service exceptionally slow (over an hour sat after ordering our food to actually receive it and then it was very cold) The shows were very good we did not participate much in the daytime activities as we were usually discovering the ports of call which we found interesting and varied. For us it was more or less perfect for what we wanted from a holiday.

I've cruised many times & this was the first on a Virgin ship - excellent!

1st time on a Virgin Voyages Cruise and would highly recommend it. The ship is great! More contemporary in style than other cruise lines and very high tech. Attracts a very mixed age range and nationalities. Service and friendliness of crew was excellent. Very relaxed and friendly vibe on board and some amazing entertainment! Would Highly recommend!!

We’ve just had the most amazing cruise on the Scarlet Lady. It’s a beautiful ship/very clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. It was such a relaxing cruise with no screaming children and constant announcements. We were very happy with our cabin- plenty of storage and sockets, which were positioned in the right places for a change. The hammock was such a treat- being able to relax whilst looking out to sea. The food was of very good quality and fancier than the usual food we’ve had on previous cruises- possibly too posh for us. Shame there wasn’t a kettle in our cabin, but otherwise it rated very high with us.

Fantastic value cruise. Food was first class. Unfortunately bed was too hard & hurt our backs. More variety shows would be good.
