I was so impressed with the Queen Anne from the moment I got on board. The staff are very attentive and always look smart. My cabin was fantastic. I had a balcony cabin and my steward kept it immaculately clean and replenished things when required. The big positive in my cabin was having a proper walk in shower with a glass door and not being cramped into a tiny shower cubicle. The facilities on the ship were fantastic with plenty of activities to get involved with if you wanted too. The seating on the decks were superior to what I have seen on other ships with lovely comfy areas to relax and also shaded areas if you want to be out of the sun.
The quality of the food was some of the best I have had and the choice was very good. I had afternoon tea one day and this was an experience I will never forget. All the staff wore white gloves whilst serving you your drinks and food which was bought out on silver platters. It's touches like this that made this ship stand out for me. You are made to feel very special and nothing was too much trouble. The other big plus for me was that you are served in the buffet with glass screens preventing people from touching the food. This will not be everyone's plus but it was for me as you see so many people coming into the buffet and not washing their hands which is how germs are spread. Please don't change this as it is a very good health and safety plus. The staff in the buffet were also willing to help. I went in once and asked if there was any tuna for my salad and the server went out the back and made me some tuna mayo.
There was a variety of entertainment on the evenings although during my time on board the same show was on in one venue for 4 out of 5 nights. I watched the show once and it was fab but having different shows on each night would of been better.
The ship was kept immaculately clean throughout and you would often see people cleaning the pool area at night and first thing in the morning.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this ship and would be happy to sail with her again.

If Cunard spent a little bit more time listening to their clients and a little less telling them constantly how wonderful they are, they might make progress.
That said, the ship is lovely with excellent service and good food.
The entertainment to Cape Town was excellent, much less so on the next leg to Singapore.
On a world cruise it’s bound to attract older clientele, but there were few on the ship under 70 which reflected in the entertainment offered.
Good stops en route with over priced onshore trips offered by the ship. Go local!
Some excellent talks, but the ship has done little to address the problems of using the laundry which became something of a joke.
Overall very good but below the level they think they’re operating at.

Home to a staggering number of beaches, this peninsula serves sun loungers and surfers equally – with beaches on the west coast calmer and quieter, while beaches on the east coast are home to rougher seas and perfect for water sports. A popular excursion for the affluent among Rio de Janeiro’s residents, you’ll find Buzios is home to an active nightlife, sensational restaurants, and plenty of shopping. An urban paradise away from the hustle and bustle of a major city, you won’t regret disembarking when you arrive here.
Rua das Pedras is a cobblestoned main avenue through Buzios that plays host to an abundance of entertainment venues, restaurants, and acts as the heart of the area when it comes to revelry and excitement.
Orla Bardot
An extension of Rua das Pedras, a main street that acts as the heart of Buzios, Orla Bardot is a stunning stretch of oceanfront that links two of the oldest areas of town together. You’ll also see several statues along this section of oceanfront, including representations of actress Brigitte Bardot and former president Juscelino Kubitschek.

Not only is Rio de Janeiro known for its attractions, but it’s also host to the yearly Carnaval festival and is home to dozens of mouth-watering restaurants and street food. Alongside Copacabana Beach and the Christ the Redeemer statue, another must-see in Rio de Janeiro is Sugarloaf Mountain.

Overlooking the city, it can be seen from several areas of Rio de Janeiro and makes for a great photo opportunity.
Sugarloaf Mountain
