6 star ship in all departments. Staff superb. Especially concierge lady on deck 9. Have booked again. Needs more shade in spa areas.

The Allura was a beautiful ship and the crew were happy and helpful. Best shows and entertainers I've seen on a cruise. I had a couple of issues with accounts, firstly Gratuities of over $400 dollars we added to my account, reception couldn't understand how I had a cruise contract, which specified gratuities were pre-paid. They were removed from my account after a phone call to head office. . Then I was not given 10% loyalty discount for a logo purchase from the boutique. That took 2 days and 2 visits to reception to resolve. Then when I was waiting for my flight home, I checked my credit card balance and notice a debit of $77. I emailed Oceania and by the time I got home, the debit had been removed but no reply to my email. We did a pre cruise hotel at Lake Garda and Venire. . We flew into Milan but Verona was the nearer airport. we had 2 long taxi rides, over 100 miles each. From Milan to Lake Garda the taxi driver was dangerous. Driving at 90 miles and hour and using his phone. . We could hear our cases being thrown from side to side. , as he speeded round bends. The second taxi from Venice to Trieste was dozing off as he drove and my wife had to cough every time she noticed. Apart from the Taxi drivers and the issue with the account, we had a wonderful trip. .

The ship, being new, was very fine, elegant and comfortable with a wide range of facilities. The check-in process at Miami was a little disappointing with fairly long queues and little communication. There was considerable vibration in parts of the ship, mainly laterally. The dining was good, especially the speciali9ty restaurants. There needs to be better management and coordination of effort in the main dining room. There were some very long delays in service. The timing of evening entertainment needs attention as it was almost impossible to dine and then get to the show in time.

Pros: Friendly Crew. Beautifully designed ship interiors. Excellent specialty restaurants with excellent choices. Well laid out suites. Cons: average lukewarm food in Grand Dining room. Lack of further availability in Speciality restaurants. Crowded sun beds near main pool with limited shaded areas. Very old age demographic of other passengers. Unfortunately poor weather didn’t help.
