She is a beautiful ship and even though she can carry a vast amount of passengers, we never felt as if it was too busy. So many venues to explore made it very interesting and varied. We dined in Butchers Cut one night which was good, also our waiter in the main dining room looked after my gluten intolerance splendidly! He even brought me 2 Lobsters one evening as I had had to wait for a while for my meal. Delicious!
Our cabin was enormous with a huge balcony and kept very clean by our Steward.
I have no complaints about MSC World Europa and would choose to sail on her again in the future

Amazing ship, bright, light, and shiny. All ultra modern. However, it's very noisy, very loud and always so busy. The buffet was horrendous with so many people jostling and shoving. No where to relax or be quiet. The cabin was good, clean and spacious with a good bathroom. Food average at best. Very expensive as you have to pay extra for lots of things , such as port transfers.

Ship was amazing, staff great, cabin was disabled one with no seating other than the bed. Bathroom smelt of stagnant water. Food in buffet was cold and poor selection. Restaurant food was OK but not amazing. Other passengers were rude. No tea/coffee making facilities in cabin, even though we asked and was told it would be put in cabin. Drinks package was very expensive and there should be a smaller/cheaper option. Poor communication of daily arrangements, we like a paper copy to read( don't want to be on phones all the time). Shows we're amazing but don't understand why you could only see a show once. On the day flying home we spent 8 hours at Barcelona airport very poor planning.
MSC offer two seated dining options, which they call Classic Dining. There is an early sitting at around 7pm and a late sitting at around 9pm. These sittings can varyby ship. MSC also offer a more flexible dining option called 'My Time' dining. This allows you to chose the time that you dine in the main restaurant. Aurea guests have an anytime dining option.
MSC offers a wide range of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-sodium choices. Guests can notify the cruise line in advance, and the onboard dining team strives to cater to individual dietary requirements.
MSC guests are limited to two suitcases and two pieces of hand luggage when checking in for their cruise. However, we highly recommend that you read your cruise ticket in full before travelling as these limits may change.
Apart from their fantastic formal and themed evenings, MSC guests are invited to wear casual resort attire whilst on board. Casual resort attire would incude a shirt with chinos, or summer dresses and a jacket. Whislt formal wear would be a suit or smart evening trousers with a jacket and tie, and cocktail dresses.

Today's Civitavecchia was born as an Etruscan village along the Tyrrhenian coast, but it is believed that the territory has been inhabited since the Neolithic era. The first documents mentioning the city date back to the year 107 AD; the same as the construction of the port which ended three years later. During a stop in Civitavecchia you can visit the Taurine Baths, the Michelangelo Fort, and the Cathedral.
Things to do in Civitavecchia (tours to Rome):
Terme Taurine
The Taurine Baths - a Roman archaeological site dating back to the 1st century BC - are located around 4km from the urban centre of Civitavecchia. There is a legend that says the baths came to be after a bull scraped at the ground before a fight, and in doing so uncovered a hot water spring.
Aquafelix Waterpark
Aquafelix Waterpark is ideal for a day of fun with your family and friends. It is the largest water park in central Italy, and boasts areas dedicated to both adults and children.
Forte Michelangelo
The construction of the Michelangelo Fort began in 1508 and ended in 1537. The structure of the fortress, in true Renaissance style, has the shape of a quadrilateral with a tower in each corner, and the central tower has an octagonal layout. Its creation was ordered by Pope Julius II, to defend the Port of Civitavecchia against pirates and any other hostile encounters.
Cathedrale de Civitavecchia
The Cathedral of San Francesco d'Assisi is the most important church of Civitavecchia. Dating back to the 17th century and completely restored in 1950, it has a Baroque style and stands on the remains of a previous Franciscan church.

Kourion Archaeology Park
Excavations from the ruins of Kourion city have unearthed many significant artefacts visitors can find onsite. Greek settlers arrived to the area in 12th-century BCE, so you’ll be sure to discover the fascinating history of the people of Kourion.

Alexandria
DAY 8
28 Nov 2027
Time at Port: from 9 AM to 6 PM
The largest city on the Mediterranean Sea and the second-largest city in Egypt, Alexandria is a stunning holiday hotspot overflowing with incredible culture and a rich ancient history worth exploring when you arrive. A settlement founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC and somewhere now known as the “Pearl of the Mediterranean”, this city is known for being home to several ancient wonders – the Lighthouse of Alexandria and Great Library of Alexandria being among the most famous. An important intellectual and cultural centre throughout the Hellenistic age (which starts around 400 BC) to the start of the Middle Ages in the 8th century, the sightseeing experiences in Alexandria are among the most rewarding in the world. However, that’s far from the only thing to look forward to when it comes to visiting Alexandria via cruise; this city is home to some sensational seafood cuisine, boutique shopping experiences, and breathtaking beaches. You’ll have over 30 to choose from in Alexandria alone! So, whether you’re looking to soak up the sunshine on a public beach, or enjoy the warm weather with a table and a parasol umbrella on a more relaxed touristic beach, you’ll have plenty of options when you arrive.
Things to do in Alexandria:
Montaza Palace
A stunning site overlooking a beautiful beach, Montaza Palace is an impressive palace housing a unique museum and surrounded by extensive gardens. Originally built by Khedive Abbas II, the last Muhammad Ali Dynasty ruler of the region, in 1892 as a hunting lodge and residence for his companion, Montaza Palace was expanded upon by King Fuad I in 1932 and transformed into an elegant summer palace. Blending Ottoman and Florentine architectural styles, this is now an official presidential residence, with the palace being used as recently as 2011 by former president Hosni Mubarak. Both the surrounding gardens and the museum within are open to the public, with the museum focusing on the Muhammad Ali Dynasty family history and objects d’art collected over the years.
Serapeum of Alexandria
Often referred to as the daughter of the Great Library of Alexandria, and an ancient site that now lies in ruins, the Serapeum of Alexandria was an ancient Greek temple built during the reign of Ptolemy III Euergetes (246 BC to 222 BC). It was widely regarded as the largest, and most magnificent, of the temples in the Greek quarter of Alexandria and it also housed an offshoot collection of works from the Great Library of Alexandria until its closure in 392 AD. Largely destroyed by Roman soldiers the year before, and a site largely considered the final stronghold of the pagans during a series of riots, Pompey’s Pillar is the only notable structure remaining above ground on the site. An impressive column constructed circa 300 AD to celebrate Roman emperor Diocletian, it’s the only ancient monument in the city still standing in its original location.
Alexandria National Museum
Located in a renovated Italian-style palace which once housed the United States consulate, the Alexandria National Museum is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history when visiting this remarkable city on the Mediterranean Sea. The building itself dates back to 1926 and was once used as an important meeting place for the affluent among Alexandria’s citizens. Housing around 1,800 artefacts with exhibitions and collections on Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece, alongside the Roman Empire and Alexandria’s more modern history throughout the 18th and 19th centuries, there’s a lot to learn about this city and Egypt as a whole in this former three-storey palace.

Terms and Conditions
The Minors Package can be used in onboard bars, self-service buffet, and the main restaurant, and in specialty restaurants too if the minor’s family/group purchased the Easy Plus or Premium Extra packages. This cannot be used in select specialty restaurants onboard, or on MSC Cruises' private island destinations.
The Minors Package must be purchased for all underage guests travelling with adults who purchase a beverage package. Applicable for minors aged 3-17 on European itineraries and 3-12 on North American and Caribbean itineraries (Alcohol-free package available for minors 13-20 years old).
Drink packages are non-transferable and cannot be shared with other guests, being valid for one drink per order. Violation of these terms may result in cancellation of a guest's package without entitlement to a refund or credit of any kind.
If you wish to dine together you must be on the same drinks package. Regardless of which drinks package you choose, a Minors Package must be purchased for all children within the travel party. For example, if you're travelling in a group of two adults and two children, both adults must be on the same package and the children on the Minors Package.
Packages are sold on a per cruise basis and not per day or any other basis. The price applies to all days of the cruise except the day of disembarkation. Once activated on board, packages cannot be cancelled or refunded. Packages must be booked by all guests occupying the same cabin, travelling together and wishing to dine at the same table. This includes minors, for whom the Minors Package must be booked.
The package is not obligatory for children under 3 years of age (i.e. who have not yet reached their third birthday). The following exclusions apply: tobacco, souvenir glasses, ice cream menus, retail items, minibar, room service, promotions and Signature Venues (Venchi 1878 , Jean-Philippe Maury venues, MSC Virtuosa Starship Club, MSC World Europa Coffee Emporium, MSC World Europa Raj Polo Tea Room) regardless of the price of drinks, cabin service and promotions. You must be of legal age to consume alcohol. Other terms and conditions may apply. Guests under the legal drinking age with respect to the ship's operating area are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol. Drinks and liquor may be substituted according to availability and itinerary.
All MSC Cruises' pre-paid and post-paid drink packages include gratuities.
