Aarhus is home to the ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum. One of the most popular and significant attractions in the city, the museum was founded in 1859 and is the first public art museum outside of Copenhagen in Denmark. Known for its colourful walkway, it has an array of different artworks to see.

Feel like you’ve been transported back in time at Den Gamle By. An open-air town museum, known as ‘The Old Town’ it’s located within the picturesque Aarhus Botanical Gardens. A unique experience within the centre of the city, there are lots of family friendly activities to discover.

Aarhus Domkirke, also known as the Aarhus Cathedral, is located in the heart of the city. Not only does it have a beautiful interior, but it’s the longest and tallest church in Denmark- measuring 96 metres in height and 93 metres in length.

One of the most significant landmarks in Warnemunde is the lighthouse. Overlooking the Warnow River, the lighthouse was built in 1898 and has an impressive height of 36.9. A must visit whilst in the area, when you reach the top of it you’ll be awarded with breathtaking panoramic views.

A fascinating insight into Warnermunde’s past, this quaint museum is situated in the centre of the port town.

One of the main beaches in the coastal resort, the Strand Warnemunde is distinguished by a white sandy beach and spans 200 metres. Warnemünde Beach is a well-liked gathering location due to the abundance of sports facilities available to enjoy on the beach.

Initially established in 1953, and now housed in the same building as the Gdynia City Museum, the Navy Museum in Gdynia is a must-visit destination for history fans and features some incredible exhibits and artefacts from the Second World War. Alongside the world’s only preserved German BT 1,000 rocket-powered bomb torpedo, you’ll also find ORP Blyskawica, one of two Grom-class Polish destroyers and the oldest preserved destroyer-class battleship in the world. Introduced in 1937, this ship was in active service until 1976.

The oldest church in Gdansk, St. Catherine’s Church is a Brick Gothic-style structure that was built between 1227 and 1237, having since gone through several expansions and renovations over the centuries. It’s home to the world’s first pulsar clock, which is a clock that uses pulsar signals from outside our Solar System to keep time, and an impressive art gallery in its attic.

Part of the Royal Route through Gdansk, this medieval market square in central Gdansk is home to numerous notable buildings, of which the 15th-century Town Hall is among the most famous, and Neptune’s Fountain, a fountain constructed in 1617; you’ll also find Green Gate here, a building built to serve as the formal residence of Polish monarchs in 1568.

If you love wildlife, during your time in Klaipeda, you should visit the sea museum. A wonderful family-friendly day out, this aquarium is home to an array of sea animals, from dolphins to sea lions, along with fascinating exhibitions that the whole family will love.

During your time in Klaipeda, you can jump on a ferry and head to this beautiful beach. A tourist hotspot, it features picturesque golden sands and beautifully clear water. A great way to spend a sunny day, you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle.

A unique attraction to visit whilst in Klaipeda is the Museum of Clocks. Featuring contemporary and vintage timepieces, you’ll learn about the history of watchmaking and what it takes to create these marvels of engineering.

The largest market and bazaar in all of Europe is located in Riga, Latvia. It is one of Latvia's most important twentieth-century buildings and was included to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 1998. Full of incredible food stalls, this market is a must visit when in the city.

One of the most prominent attractions in Riga is the Freedom Monument. An impressive, 42-metre high structure, it was built to honour the Latvian soldiers that lost their lives during the Latvian War of Independence. Signifying independence and freedom, the tower was constructed with copper and granite.

Housed with ‘The Great Hall’ which was built in 1863 and can seat up to 952 people, the Latvian National Opera is home to both the national opera and the ballet. For those that love classical and contemporary performances, a trip to this architectural beauty is well worth it. Surrounded by beautifully-manicured gardens, it’s a magnificent building in Riga.

The Helsinki Cathedral is a Finnish Evangelical Lutheran cathedral of the Diocese of Helsinki and is situated in Senate Square in the neighbourhood of Kruununhaka. The church was initially constructed between 1830 and 1852 as a memorial to Tsar Nicholas I of Russia, the Grand Duke of Finland.

In the National Museum of Finland you’ll find an array of artefacts dating all the way back to the Stone Age. Objects which showcase Finland’s fascinating cultural history, it’s housed within an impressive building designed in a romantic, Finnish national style.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma is located within Mannerheimintie in Helsinki. A quirky, modern building, it forms part of the Finnish National Gallery and houses contemporary art from an array of different international artists.

Situated within a 18th-century Baroque palace, the Kadriorg Art Museum showcases international art dating between the 16th and 20th century. Built in 1725, the art museum was designed by Mikhail Zemtsov and Gaetano Chiaveri.

Taillin’s largest orthodox church, the Aleksander Nevski Katedraal is situated in the heart of the city. Built by Mikhail Preobrazhensky in an extraordinary and colourful Russian style, it dates to the late 19th century and is still an active church on Toompea hill.

If you want breathtaking views of Tallinn, head up the Tallinn Tv Tower. An impressive structure and landmark, it soars 314m in the air and features a viewing platform on the 21st level with glass flooring.

One of most impressive palaces in Europe, the Royal Palace of Stockholm holds the majority of the monarchy's formal receptions year-round, as well as being the King of Sweden's official home. The palace, designed to resemble a Roman palace, was constructed in the baroque style by architect Nicodemus Tessin.
