Naples is one of the most important cities in Italy. Its foundation dates back to the 8th century BC, and it once had an important relationship with Athens, due to its commercial power and position on the sea. The city is rich in history and there are numerous places of interest to visit, in particular the archaeological excavations of the nearby Pompeii and Herculaneum, which were destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.

No more to say other than an incredible place to holiday for a week. Only let down was a slight disappointment in the Main Dining room and the Windjammer food, where from previous cruises, we were expecting a better standard.

Food was excellent, the ship was unbelievable, the only issues were Windjammer could get extremely busy, get a seat before your food otherwise you could be walking around for a while with your food going cold, also unruly children messing with the food and nobody holding them to account including the staff,,,,the cabin was excellent, we had an ocean view balcony, we did bid on a junior suite and didn’t get it but we have no regrets at all, as the cabin was excellent. Entertainment was best I’ve seen on land or sea
