Vietnam & Cambodia - Sept-Oct 2019 First venture into Asia. Boat was comfortable & food was excellent. Saigon/Ho Chi Min City was an experience & not for the faint-hearted. Three tour guides - one for Saigon & Vietnam on the Mekong, one for Cambodia on & off the river & one for Siem Reap. Included & additional tours were good and mostly informative. Vietnamese guide not always easy to understand & harked bark to the Vietnam war on every possible occasion. It ended over 40yrs ago & was more interested in Vietnam now - 21st century. Cambodian guides excellent and left a desire to return to Cambodia. The state of the Mekong, especially in the delta area was terrible with pollution. I know it is a silty river but bags of waste & all sorts of debris floating by - yuk! It is clear that the riverside villages just dump their waste on the riverside and the rising river takes it away. There literally no evidence of birdlife or any other fauna till we approached the Cambodian border. Whenever you go be prepared to change your shirt at least twice a day & continually drink water!

Brilliant holidY everything included. Great trips, great staff beautiful cabin. Have booked again as enjoyed it so much. Looking forward to seeing all the staff again. We had cabin 102 first time around now got cabin 110.
