Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve
The Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve on Praslin Island, is a living "Garden of Eden" and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The reserve contains a natural palm forest that has remained essentially unchanged for thousands of years, giving visitors the impression of stepping back in time. It's a lush, cool, and shaded palm forest known for its huge Coco de Mer nuts and uncommon Black Parrots.
World-Class Beaches
Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette on Praslin Island are postcard-perfect tropical paradises with fine white sand, turquoise waves, and a distinctive granite boulder, frequently named among the world's top beaches. Anse Lazio is easily accessible, lively, and known for its superb swimming, but Anse Georgette provides a private, tranquil "hidden paradise" experience accessible by scenic walk or boat.
Curieuse Island
A day trip to Curieuse Island is usually regarded as a highlight of any Seychelles holiday, providing a combination of wildlife encounters, light adventure, and breathtaking coastal scenery. Located within a 10-15 minute boat journey from Praslin, it is well known for being home to around 200-300 Aldabra giant tortoises that roam freely across the island. You may closely view them, feed them leaves, and visit a tortoise nursery.
