The cruise was great just afew things let it down from being amazing 5 stars.
The organisation from iglu was brilliant unfortunatly due to no fault of theirs our bags where lost by BA. and took a week to catch up. If we had booked direct with princess they would have been able to sort it out quicker on our behalf. Based on out experinance i will not book third party again. The ports where great even though there was some weird sailing times on the whole the trips where good but a little expensive so not realy value for money the guides where all great i must add. Princess plus is a must..... dining can a mine field and fine dining is hit and miss bkack tie is a let down shops are poor. Entertainment is ok. We had a mini suit this did give us the dining package we expected the room was very nice plenty of USB chsrging points but an overlookef balcony. Room service was good. Overall we had a nice time but would not book again with princess.

Just back from my first cruise and I enjoyed it far more than I had anticipated.
Not having to do anything except get ready was very relaxing.
You can join in with activities if you want but there is no pressure to do anything.
I found my fellow travellers really friendly and happy to offer advice on how cruises work.
The crew were such a nice group of people - always friendly, helpful and cheerful.
My room on Lido Deck was much better than I thought it would be. I was concerned about noise but it was super quiet.
My cabin steward was very helpful and kept my room ship shape at all times.
Dining was good although getting a seat for both breakfast and lunch was a Herculean task! Just not enough chairs for the number of people and it didn’t matter what time you went.
I tried International Dining Room once for breakfast but it was so slow and the food not great. Breakfast buffet was so much better.
I only had specialist dining - which was super - so can’t comment on dinner options elsewhere.
Bar service everywhere was very good - quick and they will mix your drink exactly how you like it.
I booked excursions in order to use up my onboard credit. They were pretty good and the ones I chose were around the $100 mark so good value.
Having done a few excursions through the ship I decided to do the rest of the port stops self-guided. Easier than I thought as the guides and maps provided at each port were so helpful and public transport in Japan is super easy to navigate.
I’d recommend downloading an eSIM with unlimited data so that Google maps is always available should you need it onshore.
I used the gym early in the morning every day and it was never busy with plenty of treadmills available.
If you are looking to do mat yoga & Pilates classes it’s worth knowing that these are not held in a tranquil space but in the middle of a room housing treadmills!
I didn’t go to the theatre but did join in several quiz sessions. These were fun and fully inclusive.
Embarkation was very efficient - you get swept along and through the system very quickly.
Disembarkation was similar although there was a lack of luggage trolleys.
I used the Princess coach service back to the airport and can’t fault it.
Overall I would recommend Diamond Princess. I had an amazing holiday - full of lovely memories - and have returned home fully rested.
Value for money as a single traveller is not great but that’s really the only negative point apart from the price of some of the excursions

Drinks were very overpriced. Shops onboard were disappointing. Nothing like those on the Royal Princess.
Princess Cruises offers both traditional dining and their flexible 'Anytime Dining'. Anytime Dining is available from 5:30 to 10 p.m. On most Princess ships the traditional dining times are as follows: Early seating is at 5:30 p.m. 1st seating is at 6 p.m. 2nd seating is at 8:15 p.m.
Princess Cruises offers a wide range of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-sodium choices. Guests can notify the cruise line in advance, and the onboard dining team strives to cater to individual dietary requirements.
Cruises to and from Southampton have no specific baggage quantity limit but require each piece to weigh no more than 23kg for ease of handling. When flying to or from the ship, whether via charter or scheduled flight, luggage restrictions generally range from 20 to 23kg per person. Ensure no individual item exceeds 23kg to facilitate safe handling by the ship's crew.
Princess Cruises embraces a smart-casual approach for evenings, with occasional formal nights. Smart-casual attire includes dresses, skirts, or slacks for women, and collared shirts with dress pants for men.
Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.
Travel requirements
All passengers (including all children), should hold their own full 10-year (5 years for children) British Citizen (GBR) passport. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months past your expected return date to the UK, as this is often a criteria for entry to certain countries.
Princess Cruises strongly recommends that all guests consider purchasing travel insurance to protect themselves against unexpected events that could disrupt their travel plans, such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, baggage loss, or travel delays.

Description
Thailand's southernmost province, Phuket, is Thailand's largest island. Phang-nga and Krabi are the closest provinces to Phuket and due to the significant Chinese influence on Phuket, there are several Chinese shrines and restaurants all across Phuket City. Since Phuket is a large island, it is bordered by a number of spectacular beaches, including Rawai, Patong, Karon, Kamala, and Mai Khao. The most magnificent sunsets in Thailand are allegedly seen from Laem PhromThep viewpoint. Alongside beaches, Phuket has an array of other attractions including the Big Budha, the old town and Chilva Market.
The third tallest statue in the country, this huge buddha stands at an impressive 45 metres tall and 25.45 metres wide. Overlooking the city, it’s made of concrete and has been meticulously covered with Burmese white marble. Taking over 10 years to build, this extraordinary statue offers the perfect photo opportunities.

Description
Vietnam’s hidden treasure, Cam Ranh is a stunningly beautiful slice of Southeast Asia and one port of call you won’t want to miss out on. A picturesque port town in Southern Khánh Hòa Province, Cam Ranh is known for its sensational beaches, breathtaking landscapes, and welcoming warm waters; whether you’re looking for the chance to get active in the great outdoors, or you just want to soak up the glorious Southeast Asian sunshine on the sand, this destination is perfect. Also, as a deep-water harbour surrounded by Vietnamese military bases, this destination is also rich with history, and you’ll find local crafts and souvenirs at more competitive prices than you would in major cities – so, while not as extensive, the shopping opportunities here are excellent. A charming port of call, you’ll have an unforgettable time in Cam Ranh, however you want to spend your visit – be that indulging in the local cuisine, snorkelling to spot colourful coral, or simply relishing in the relaxing atmosphere here.
An impressive pagoda in the centre of Cam Ranh, Tu Van Pagoda is one of the most unique temples in Vietnam, being decorated entirely of seashells and coral. Home to a large lying Buddha statue, the pagoda itself took five years to construct and the Bao Tich Stupa, the most impressive structure in the complex, stands roughly 39 metres tall. A peaceful space that’s both beautiful and enlightening, Tu Van Pagoda is always worth visiting when in Cam Ranh.

A remote white-sand beach that’s just south of Cam Ranh itself, this stretch of stunning sand boasts turquoise waters, breathtaking views of Đảo Bình Ba island and beyond, and none of the hustle and bustle a beachfront closer to the town centre would feature. For those of you looking to reflect on your Southeast Asian adventure and relish in the relaxing atmosphere of an idyllic Vietnamese beach, Bãi biển Bình Tiên is the place to be.
Hon Mun Island
Just north of Cam Ranh, this idyllic protected island is a stunning spot to spend some time when calling at this charming port town. Home to sparkling crystal-clear waters, unique ebony-black rocky cliffs, and diverse marine life, this is a great destination for snorkelling and scuba diving. You’ll also find floating bars, the chance to parasail, and more here – so, for those who want to embark on an adventurous excursion away from Cam Ranh, Hon Mun island is a fantastic option.
