Second time we've cruised on this ship and it didn't disappoint. The crew were as friendly as ever, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was good and plenty of activities to occupy the at sea days. My only minor complaint was that the food in the main dining room wasn't hot but lukewarm.

celebrity solstice was excellent, restaurants had great food and service, crew were all friendly and paid good attention to all the needs of passengers, remembering names and what drinks we wanted etc.
our cabin attendant was friendly and very good and helpful
disembarkation was fast as we took our own luggage off.
never saw any shows but the magician was really good.
only activities we did were bingo and deal or no deal which were entertaining
of the two excursions one was really good and the other was disappointing and not good at all, the meeting instructions were not clear at all and it was difficult to find the meeting point. but the whole excursion was poor. and not good value for money

The Inside Passage cruise on the Celebrity Solstice was fabulous; every box was ticked—whales, glaciers, spectacular scenery, and life on board the ship was excellent. But I would like to take this opportunity to thank Iglu Cruise. Let me explain: due to difficulties and the lead time obtaining a USA visa (we had visited Cuba in 2021!), we were in jeopardy of canceling our cruise. Thankfully, the team at Iglu Cruise saved the day, they were very supportive and reassuring, they calmed our fears and offered to resculal our criuse! I can not thank Igul Cruies enough for thir help. This review dose not convay how much help Igul Cruies gave us. Thank you.

Very smooth embarkation. Ship and all staff lovely. Food excellent. Shows excellent. My only disappointment was the room. There was 3 of us sharing it but it was only set up for 2. Beds not separated. Not enough towels. Otherwise excellent.

A journey to the remarkable city of Chengdu wouldn’t quite be complete without a visit to the vital Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding; so, that’s where you’re going to be spending most of your day – and you’re in for a truly special experience. Home to over 200 giant pandas (a vulnerable species heavily reliant on conservation efforts for its survival), a small number of red pandas, and a small selection of other endangered species endemic to China, this government-funded non-profit conservation centre plays an important role in preserving giant pandas as a species. While you’re here, you’ll have the chance to learn more about the important work the Chengdu Research Base is doing, to observe these magical mammals in enclosures that near-mirror their natural habitat, and to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Giant pandas are fairly solitary creatures, who often spend most of the day sleeping, so each sighting during your visit will be truly special.

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
A unique government-funded non-profit breeding and research institution, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding was founded in 1987 with the express goal of improving the giant panda population in China and becoming a world-class research facility, conservation centre, and international education destination; starting with just six giant pandas, all of which were rescued from the wild, the Chengdu Research Base is now home to over 200 giant pandas.
Giant Panda
A truly remarkable animal considered ‘vulnerable’ by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and largely reliant on the conservation efforts of organisations like the Chengdu Research Base for its survival, these black-and-white bears are often seen as a national symbol of China – to which they are endemic.
Red Panda
Small mammals considered endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, red pandas are actually more closely related to raccoons and skunks than they are the giant panda; however, they also primarily feed on bamboo shoots and leaves, and they’re known for their reddish-brown fur, black bellies, and white muzzle.
