Amazing cruise . Stayed on floor 9, concierge class , room with a balcony. Could not fault the service , the immaculate way the room was maintained throughout. The staff , food, venues were absolutely amazing.
We were pretty novice cruisers compared to many people we spoke to . Will definitely think about another cruise In The future .
The very few negatives we had ; a slight issue with an odour in our room for the first few days , having said that the staff were so attentive in sorting this issue , and could not have tried harder to resolve, which they managed within a few days. Not sure a balcony was needed and spent very little time in our room and no direct sun on the balcony due it being set back with a roof jutting out , which I hadn’t considered . Another point was the overnight stays , I would perhaps have changed Penang for Langkawi , but this was more of a personal preference.
The port days were SO well organised there were no delays in leaving or boarding the ship , even on departure it was so well organised .
We had a WiFi and drinks package and although the WiFi was a little hit and miss we did not find we needed to upgrade the drinks package , but again this may be personal choice .
The cruise / holiday package overall was an expensive holiday and there were elements of the holiday I would have changed but the cruise was amazing! Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to book with celebrity cruises in the future ( when / if we have the money to )
The ONE irritation would be the upselling of products on the ship, for us it had taken a year of saving and I appreciate some people are in a more fortunate position and finances are not as hard come by, but I would have liked any upgrades to have been MY choice not hard selling tactics, which included the spa experience I booked . Again , personal preference .
Other than that , perfect !

Our 1st time on a Celebrity cruise and we were really impressed. We cruised on the Celebrity Millenium ship for 12 nights, starting in Bali and ending in Singapore. We were very happy with the ship, and the itinerary was excellent. We visited Lombok, Bali, kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Phuket & Singapore.
The ship was very comfortable, our balcony cabin was good and the food was very good. The ship never felt over-crowded and there were always sunbeds available. The entertainment was ok, and the quality of drinks were very good, our favourite bar was the coffee bar. It had all the drinks that we like, gin, bacardi, dissaronno and fever tree tonics.
The staff were very good, friendly, hard-working and always smiling.
We would definitely recommend a Celebrity cruise and the Millenium ship.

The third-longest river in the world, behind the Nile and the Amazon River, the Yangtze River stretches nearly 4,000 miles and historically has marked the divide between north and south China; a cruise along any stretch of this unique waterway promises stunning scenery with dramatic landscapes and some of China’s most breathtaking natural wonders.
The Three Gorges
An incredible region comprised of three adjacent gorges (Qutang, Wu, and Xiling) along a middle stretch of the Yangtze River, this subtropical area is known for being one of the most beautiful places in China; however, it’s also a region of significant cultural importance, with numerous archaeological sites submerged by the reservoir created by the Three Gorges Dam – a marvel of human engineering and an important protection against flooding.
Three Gorges Dam
Completed in 2006 and fully operational by 2012, the Three Gorges Dam is the world’s largest power station (when it comes to installed capacity) and stands an impressive 181 metres tall; reducing the potential of flooding downstream along the Yangtze River, while also increasing the risk of landslides in the area, this controversial installation is a breathtaking example of human engineering and a unique man-made structure dominating the stunning natural scenery of the region.

A journey to the remarkable city of Chengdu wouldn’t quite be complete without a visit to the vital Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding; so, that’s where you’re going to be spending most of your day – and you’re in for a truly special experience. Home to over 200 giant pandas (a vulnerable species heavily reliant on conservation efforts for its survival), a small number of red pandas, and a small selection of other endangered species endemic to China, this government-funded non-profit conservation centre plays an important role in preserving giant pandas as a species. While you’re here, you’ll have the chance to learn more about the important work the Chengdu Research Base is doing, to observe these magical mammals in enclosures that near-mirror their natural habitat, and to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Giant pandas are fairly solitary creatures, who often spend most of the day sleeping, so each sighting during your visit will be truly special.

Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
A unique government-funded non-profit breeding and research institution, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding was founded in 1987 with the express goal of improving the giant panda population in China and becoming a world-class research facility, conservation centre, and international education destination; starting with just six giant pandas, all of which were rescued from the wild, the Chengdu Research Base is now home to over 200 giant pandas.
Giant Panda
A truly remarkable animal considered ‘vulnerable’ by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and largely reliant on the conservation efforts of organisations like the Chengdu Research Base for its survival, these black-and-white bears are often seen as a national symbol of China – to which they are endemic.
Red Panda
Small mammals considered endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, red pandas are actually more closely related to raccoons and skunks than they are the giant panda; however, they also primarily feed on bamboo shoots and leaves, and they’re known for their reddish-brown fur, black bellies, and white muzzle.
