Agra Fort & Rooftop Champagne Overlooking Taj Mahal
10 Feb 2027
An impressive site of historical significance to the Mughal dynasty, Agra Fort is a stunning landmark in the culturally-important city of Agra and you’re going to have the chance to head behind the towering red walls of this sprawling complex to learn more about the rich history of Agra Fort and the surrounding city – before you head to a rooftop overlooking the equally impressive Taj Mahal for a glass of champagne, which is far from a bad way to end your day exploring this incredible destination. Something of a sister monument to the iconic Taj Mahal, Mughal emperor Humayun was crowned at Agra Fort in 1530, and the subsequent Mughal emperor, Akbar, continued to develop the complex after Humayun’s reign. Many of the impressive structures you’ll see on your tour date back to around 1570 – a fact that exemplifies the historic cultural importance of this site, which has endured numerous wars of conquest and colonial rule over roughly 450 years. A chance to learn more about India’s rich history, and then marvel at one of the New Wonders of the World as it’s bathed in the warm light of a setting sun, this insightful tour isn’t one to be missed.

Once you’ve had some time to explore the site and learn more about its cultural and historical importance, you’ll return to your hotel for breakfast before venturing out to a marble inlay workshop; here, you’ll learn more about the intricacies of the marble-work wonderfully exemplified by the Taj Mahal mausoleum. Amazing cruise . Stayed on floor 9, concierge class , room with a balcony. Could not fault the service , the immaculate way the room was maintained throughout. The staff , food, venues were absolutely amazing.
We were pretty novice cruisers compared to many people we spoke to . Will definitely think about another cruise In The future .
The very few negatives we had ; a slight issue with an odour in our room for the first few days , having said that the staff were so attentive in sorting this issue , and could not have tried harder to resolve, which they managed within a few days. Not sure a balcony was needed and spent very little time in our room and no direct sun on the balcony due it being set back with a roof jutting out , which I hadn’t considered . Another point was the overnight stays , I would perhaps have changed Penang for Langkawi , but this was more of a personal preference.
The port days were SO well organised there were no delays in leaving or boarding the ship , even on departure it was so well organised .
We had a WiFi and drinks package and although the WiFi was a little hit and miss we did not find we needed to upgrade the drinks package , but again this may be personal choice .
The cruise / holiday package overall was an expensive holiday and there were elements of the holiday I would have changed but the cruise was amazing! Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to book with celebrity cruises in the future ( when / if we have the money to )
The ONE irritation would be the upselling of products on the ship, for us it had taken a year of saving and I appreciate some people are in a more fortunate position and finances are not as hard come by, but I would have liked any upgrades to have been MY choice not hard selling tactics, which included the spa experience I booked . Again , personal preference .
Other than that , perfect !

Our 1st time on a Celebrity cruise and we were really impressed. We cruised on the Celebrity Millenium ship for 12 nights, starting in Bali and ending in Singapore. We were very happy with the ship, and the itinerary was excellent. We visited Lombok, Bali, kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Phuket & Singapore.
The ship was very comfortable, our balcony cabin was good and the food was very good. The ship never felt over-crowded and there were always sunbeds available. The entertainment was ok, and the quality of drinks were very good, our favourite bar was the coffee bar. It had all the drinks that we like, gin, bacardi, dissaronno and fever tree tonics.
The staff were very good, friendly, hard-working and always smiling.
We would definitely recommend a Celebrity cruise and the Millenium ship.

Description
Known as the Pink City, due to the fact that most of the major buildings in the old city are made of red and pink sandstone, Jaipur is the largest city in Rajasthan and home to some stunning architecture and numerous cultural landmarks well-worth exploring. During this insightful tour of the city, you’ll have the chance to marvel at the impressive City Palace of Jaipur and Hawa Mahal – both of which are a blend of Hindu Rajput and Islamic Mughal architectural styles – before venturing into the bustling bazaars of The Walled City: Jaipur’s old city, sitting behind six-metre-tall walls. You’ll also have the chance to visit the remarkable Jantar Mantar in Jaipur; the largest stone and marble observatory in the world, this impressive monument to scientific innovation allows for the observation of celestial positions with the naked eye. To complete this particular experience, the evening will see you enjoy a cooking lesson and dinner at a local restaurant. A unique day tour that touches on Jaipur’s rich history and culture beyond the colonial influences of the 18th and 19th centuries, you certainly won’t forget your time exploring this incredible city.

Things to do
Hawa Mahal
Known famously as the Palace of the Winds, this impressive building on the edge of the City Palace complex – which is similarly built from pink and red sandstone – was completed in 1799; featuring a lattice-like honeycomb exterior with 953 small windows, and acting as an extension into the City Palace’s Zenana (women’s chambers), this was originally built to afford royal ladies the chance to observe the life and events of the streets below without being seen.
City Palace of Jaipur
A government headquarters that serves as the ceremonial and administrative seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur, the building of this palace complex was completed in 1732 and has been the site of countless cultural, industrial, and religious events over the years; still the home of the Jaipur royal family and its’ staff, this palace also houses several restaurants and galleries alongside the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum.
Jantar Mantar
Completed in 1734, this impressive monument is a collection of astronomical instruments – built by Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh, founder of Jaipur – that allows astronomers to observe astronomical positions and chart the locations of celestial objects with the naked eye; home to the world’s largest stone sundial, there’s surprisingly very little evidence to suggest that this was actually used in a scientific capacity following its construction.
The Walled City
Often referred to as the Heart of the Pink City, this thriving historical and cultural hub represents old Jaipur City; famed for its uniform pink buildings, market bazaars, and cultural landmarks, you’ll find a wealth of unique experiences within these six-metre-high walls – each of the nine chowkris within serves a distinct purpose, with some home to important temples, some home to marketplaces, and more.
