        Just northwest of Tahiti, Moorea Island is an idyllic paradise where every type of traveller will find something they enjoy – be that lounging in the sunshine, exploring the vibrant rainforests, or tucking into some flavourful local food. Among the most strikingly beautiful islands in French Polynesia, this warm and welcoming island boasts an interesting topography. Not only will you have the chance to admire eight mountain peaks, something that gives Moorea a distinctly rugged appearance from afar, but the island is also home to two symmetrical bays. These bays make this destination the perfect place to enjoy some watersports; although, you’ll also find that the laid-back atmosphere here makes it the ideal place to lounge about in the sunshine. Heading further inland, if you’re looking for views, you’ll find several hiking routes worth taking advantage of. With numerous vantage points, you’ll never be too far away from a jaw-dropping view of the island. From above, the island itself loosely resembles a heart, and you’ll have a hard time not falling in love with Moorea when you spend some time here.

Although, really, however you decide to spend your time in Papeete, you’re in for a fantastic shore experience.

Excellent ship crew very friendly and efficient ship cleanliness excellent. Cabin excellent well positioned for me and very quiet. 3159. The food in the main restaurant and ocean view excellent you could not fault any aspect of it. We did trips ever day it docked whether with celebrity or other agents and all were of high quality and well organised. The only comment I will make is that the disembarking at Auckland needs assessing as was totally chaotic and not well organised people were allowed off while they were still unloading cases = one jam packed terminal &frayed tempers.

This was my ninth Celebrity cruise, but my first on an Edge Class ship. It was superb. The infinity balcony cabins are very spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and the en suite shower room is more spacious than on Solstice class. The cabins are also better sound-proofed. The entire ship is smart and luxurious, with plentiful deck and public spaces. Two things especially impressed me on the Edge - firstly the standard of service of all the crew, secondly the food. In all of the four inclusive dining rooms, and in the Oceanview buffet, the food was superb. Every meal was delicious.

Excellent ship with wonderful facilities and entertainment. Restaurants were fantastic and Eden was amazing with breathtaking views, and outstanding food. Celebrity Edge itinerary in New Zealand was special.

Onboard

There are three dining options with Celebrity Cruises; Celebrity Select Dining, Eary, Late and Anytime. Guests who opt to dine on the early or late sitting (6:30pm-8:30pm) will be seated with the same guests on the same table and with the same waiting staff. Thos who wish to dine on the Anytime option will have more flexibility and can choose their dining time (anytime between 6pm and 9:30pm).

Celebrity Cruises offers a range of dietary accommodations, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Passengers can notify the cruise line in advance to enjoy their cruise with personalised dining experiences aligned with their dietary requirements.

The maximum total weight per guest is 90kg, apart from the Xpedition class ships in the Galapagos. Please be aware that airlines have their own luggage restrictions and rules to comply with before and after your time onboard.

Celebrity Cruises promotes a smart-casual dress code for most evenings. Formal nights offer a chance to dress elegantly with evening gowns and tuxedos as an option. The cruise line's website provides specific details about the dress code to help passengers prepare accordingly.

Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.

Travel requirements

All passengers (including all children), should hold their own full 10-year (5 years for children) British Citizen (GBR) passport. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months past your expected return date to the UK, as this is often a criteria for entry to certain countries.

Celebrity Cruises strongly recommends that all guests consider purchasing travel insurance to protect themselves against unexpected events that could disrupt their travel plans, such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, baggage loss, or travel delays.
