Tips

Speciality Dining

Specialty restaurants allow travellers to enhance their dining experience during the cruise. This is a great way to add variety to your holiday or celebrate a special occasion. You can pay for meals in the special dining restaurants onboard.

Car parking

Car parking at the port or airport is not included in the cost of your cruise, and this cannot currently be booked through Iglu Cruise. However, please contact us after you have made your booking if you would like to add this to your package, so we can discuss options. An approximate cost for parking during a cruise is around £12 to £20 per car per day. Alternatively, transfers can be arranged.

Excursions

If you would like to do any excursions/tours while docked these will be an additional charge. Excursions/tours can’t currently be booked with us online but please contact us after you have made the booking if you would like to add these to your package. Alternatively these can be bought while on the ship but may be more expensive than pre-booking.

Transfers (home to port)

Transfers from your home to the port or airport aren't included but we can help organise coach transfers, taxis etc to make your life easier. Please contact us after you have made the booking if you would like to add these to your package.

Travel insurance

Celebrity is simply the best. Their organisation of embarkation and disembarkation was smooth and quick. APEX is a beautiful ship. The staff are friendly and work SO hard to make your trip pleasant. We enjoyed the infinite verandah as made the room spacious but it isNOT a traditional balcony. Food everywhere on board Is absolutely delicious. WE enjoyed the four main dinning rooms. The buffet is the best buffet food we have experienced. When sailing with full capacity sea days are busy on board so find the quiet areas of the ship ( library). A lovely ship with great entertainment, and enrichment talks. We enjoyed every minute of our port days self exploring. A wonderful cruise from beginning to end.

We really enjoyed our trip and love the Celebrity Apex. Great experience in Blu Restaurant. Stateroom and entertainment all of good quality. Our one slightly negative comment would be that times in Ports was often very limited and some of the excursions disappointing.

There are three dining options with Celebrity Cruises; Celebrity Select Dining, Eary, Late and Anytime. Guests who opt to dine on the early or late sitting (6:30pm-8:30pm) will be seated with the same guests on the same table and with the same waiting staff. Thos who wish to dine on the Anytime option will have more flexibility and can choose their dining time (anytime between 6pm and 9:30pm).

Celebrity Cruises offers a range of dietary accommodations, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Passengers can notify the cruise line in advance to enjoy their cruise with personalised dining experiences aligned with their dietary requirements.

The maximum total weight per guest is 90kg, apart from the Xpedition class ships in the Galapagos. Please be aware that airlines have their own luggage restrictions and rules to comply with before and after your time onboard.

Celebrity Cruises promotes a smart-casual dress code for most evenings. Formal nights offer a chance to dress elegantly with evening gowns and tuxedos as an option. The cruise line's website provides specific details about the dress code to help passengers prepare accordingly.

Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.

Travel requirements

All passengers (including all children), should hold their own full 10-year (5 years for children) British Citizen (GBR) passport. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months past your expected return date to the UK, as this is often a criteria for entry to certain countries.

Celebrity Cruises strongly recommends that all guests consider purchasing travel insurance to protect themselves against unexpected events that could disrupt their travel plans, such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, baggage loss, or travel delays.
