Boarding at Southampton was a dream, about 15 minutes from start to finish. The staff on board couldn’t do enough for us, and always with a welcoming smile. The ship was lovely, comfortable and always clean. We had a cabin on Deck 11, which was quiet, well positioned and had everything in it that we needed. The only thing we would say is that you couldn’t walk to the front of the ship on the pool deck as the Retreat area stopped you gaining all round access which was a bit of a shame, but the views out to sea from the rest of the deck were lovely. A lovely holiday, we would definitely sail on the Apex another time. We did not take many excursions so feel unable to comment, preferring to find our own way round where destinations enabled us to walk off ship. We dined in the same restaurant each night, but were still able to sample meals from the other 3 main dining rooms - that’s how accommodating the team were, and the food was excellent.

What a great ship! Modern design, spotlessly clean and very friendly staff. The food in the buffet was fantastic! We went there most evenings as the choice was vast. I highly recommend going on this ship!

Celebrity is simply the best. Their organisation of embarkation and disembarkation was smooth and quick. APEX is a beautiful ship. The staff are friendly and work SO hard to make your trip pleasant. We enjoyed the infinite verandah as made the room spacious but it isNOT a traditional balcony. Food everywhere on board Is absolutely delicious. WE enjoyed the four main dinning rooms. The buffet is the best buffet food we have experienced. When sailing with full capacity sea days are busy on board so find the quiet areas of the ship ( library). A lovely ship with great entertainment, and enrichment talks. We enjoyed every minute of our port days self exploring. A wonderful cruise from beginning to end.

Celebrity Cruises promotes a smart-casual dress code for most evenings. Formal nights offer a chance to dress elegantly with evening gowns and tuxedos as an option. The cruise line's website provides specific details about the dress code to help passengers prepare accordingly.

Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.

Travel requirements

All passengers (including all children), should hold their own full 10-year (5 years for children) British Citizen (GBR) passport. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months past your expected return date to the UK, as this is often a criteria for entry to certain countries.

Celebrity Cruises strongly recommends that all guests consider purchasing travel insurance to protect themselves against unexpected events that could disrupt their travel plans, such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, baggage loss, or travel delays.
