Ambience Reviews
View Cruise DealsLoved our 40 night transatlantic cruise to the Caribbean on Ambience. The food, cocktails, sea day activities and evening entertainment were brilliant … the best entertainment we have experienced It’s an older ship but the public areas are all lovely … the botanical bar and raffles in particular are plusher bars than other cruises we have been on. The cabins, (we had an inside) were roomy for storage but tired, ours was a Pullman cabin which left very little room at the side of the bed when made in to a double. We will definitely be sailing with Ambassador again
On wet cold sea days lacking any sitting space. Some of the inside areas of boat were cold. The buffet restaurant was always cold, and also lacking in sitting space.
The most important question is, would we cruise again ? The answer is yes, if the price was right. . It was over priced overall for what we received. The ship is currently having a well needed refit, which will help. The food is a bit hit or miss in the buffet market place, at times. The evening entertainment was repetitive with the onboard staff (dancers and entertainers) covering most evenings. The restaurant food was really nice. Having announcements in the cabin from 8am was annoying, and the fact that it wasn’t necessary. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming.
Staff all amazing, accommodation excellent storage ,palladium all show very good
Embarkation great. Evening shows great. Daytime activities boring. Food and service great. Afternoon film Bridget Jones just disgusting language all through. something like Downton Abbey would be better. Not enough seating for disabled in Palldium, only 8 seats. Hairdresser worst cut I ever had. Staff great. Disembarkation quite slow but worked well.
I had a lovely time on board. Lovely people, lovely food (put on pounds!!!). Loved bingo but didn't win. Staff were so polite and helpful. Chefs went above and beyond for me to stick to my allergies, so helpful. Except for flat few cantankerous pensioners I had a brill time. I loved my time on board and as a widow felt so welcomed at solo events
The staff were less friendly than previous cruises we have been on with Ambassador, some servers in Borough market were positively rude. Some waiters, particularly in the Observatory , looked at you and then ignored you and it took ages to get served. That said, the ship, cabin, food and entertainment were all good value. We also loved all the ports of call.
Great cruise. The staff were professional, polite and the service excellent. Everyone worked very hard. The ship is a little tired but apparently due a refurb. All areas were exceptionally clean. Plenty of nice bars and sitting areas. The food was excellent, plenty of variety. There are a variety of good activities to participate in. The shows are good too. The offshore trips are a little expensive but ran like clockwork & met the criteria described. Our room was comfortable and well attended to by housekeeper Odessa. Great cruiseline, first time using Ambassador, would recommend.
The ship was nice , but bourgh market very busy hard to find a tabel to sit at and some people don't like to share staff very good . In the restaurant food ok but staff very busy and rushing about our first experience not great I had pork loin not nice and felt rushed .
Very good and excellent for the following: Food, entertainment (especially singing and dance), Friendliness of cabin and other staff. Only concern was with lack of assistance regarding the booking of special restaurant that was part of the offer
