Drinks

Included with meals are some soft drinks, teas and coffees but the majority of drinks are extra. If you want alcoholic drinks you can upgrade to the "Have it all" package which includes drinks. Alternatively you can buy drinks individually at the bar.

Tips

The price of this cruise is based on the standard fare where a daily service charge of between $17-19 per passenger per day (amount depends on the cabin) is added. Alterntively you can upgrade to the "Have it all" package where tips are included in the price.

Specialty Dining

Specialty restaurants allow travellers to enhance their dining experience during the cruise. This is a great way to add variety to your holiday or celebrate a special occasion. You can pay for meals in the special dining restaurants onboard.

Car parking

Car parking at the port or airport is not included in the cost of your cruise, and this cannot currently be booked through Iglu Cruise. However, please contact us after you have made your booking if you would like to add this to your package, so we can discuss options. An approximate cost for parking during a cruise is around £12 to £20 per car per day. Alternatively, transfers can be arranged.

Excursions

If you would like to do any excursions/tours while docked these will be an additional charge. Excursions/tours can’t currently be booked with us online but please contact us after you have made the booking if you would like to add these to your package. Alternatively these can be bought while on the ship but may be more expensive than pre-booking.

This was our first cruise with Holland America Zuiderdam having cruised with Azamara, Viking and (P&O - smaller ships only). We had the "Have it All" package included in our fare which was great. The Zuiderdam had been recently renovated and the carpets all looked new and clean. The balcony cabin had lots of storage. We had brought the wrong plug adaptor with us which caused an irritation. We would have liked a kettle in the room (as on our other cruise lines) however we could order tea from Room Service. Overall we enjoyed cruising on Zuiderdam. The staff were fantastic as was the food and entertainment. Provided we are offered the "Have it all" package we would cruise with Holland America again.

We found the crew was excellent, very friendly and gave a high level of service. The food was delicious in all the restaurants and had a wide choice of dishes available. The entertainment on the World Stage was varied from comedy to dance shows and bands - something for everyone. The Zuiderdam’s basic Internet package was quite slow for sending photos, but you could upgrade if you wanted. We found the Navigator app to be very useful for excursion tickets and all the information you needed. The atmosphere on the ship was relaxed, which we appreciated, with some dressy evenings and casual evenings. The only negative for us, was our stateroom was a little tired, but that didn’t impact on our enjoyment of being on the Zuiderdam.
