Certainly a ship aimed at the Chinese/Russian guests, compared to the other Royal Caribbean ships this one is very subdued and lacked the excitement from staff and guest like the others. No waiter service and activities were limited and quite dull. Staff were not very motivated.

We are a couple in our seventies who have cruises many times. Spectrum of the Seas is more suited to a family. We found the organisation and communication lacking. The ports in Japan were disappointing, none of the major sites were cover apart from Kyoto and port time was limited in there due in part to issues around disembarking the ship. inflexibility on buffet opening times made finding food after an excursion a challenge.

Our first cruise on one of the "big" ships. We were apprehensive at first but it turned out brilliant, the Cabin was bigger than we expected, very clean. The staff were amazing . All in all a very positive experience. Would definitely cruise with RC in the future. Only negatives were the Windjammer market place, it was always full and difficult to find a seat, but the food was excellent. Drinks were very expensive.

Overall, the cruise was a mixed experience. It didn’t seem to fully cater for the range of nationalities onboard, which made some of the activities and announcements feel limited in appeal. The entertainment was average at best, although the Silk Road show was a definite highlight and stood out for its quality and creativity. The cruise director was noticeably absent compared to other cruises I’ve been on, where they usually play a more visible and engaging role. Excursions were also quite disappointing, overpriced for what was offered and not really worth the cost considering what we actually saw. The saving grace of the trip was the incredible staff. They were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and looked after. Their professionalism and warmth truly made the difference.
