Things to do
Reinebringen
Reinebringen is a famous, short, but extremely steep trail in Norway's Lofoten Islands that provides an iconic panoramic view of Reine, fjords, and peaks. It has about 2,000 stone stairs made by Sherpas that rise 448 metres. It is technically easy (no climbing experience required), but physically hard due to the steepness. It is suitable for most people with reasonable fitness, but it can be strenuous for those not used to stairs. It is one of the most popular routes in Lofoten, with some of the most stunning, postcard-perfect scenery in Norway.
Reinefjord
A boat tour on the Reinefjord provides a beautiful, close-up view of majestic mountains rising immediately from blue waters whilst passing through quaint fishing villages. The tours frequently take passengers to small, picturesque villages like Vindstad and Kjerkfjorden, which are otherwise unreachable by road. It is a relaxing, picturesque, and highly recommended experience that is frequently regarded as a highlight of the Lofoten islands. A round-trip scenic tour lasts about an hour and provides excellent photo possibilities of the Reinefjord and the surrounding landscape.
Photography
Reine is an iconic Arctic photographic location, known as a fairytale fishing village with towering granite peaks and sparkling fjords. It's tremendously picturesque, with dark, dramatic, and colourful scenes where sky and sea meet. Photographers frequently photograph the famous, brightly coloured red and yellow rorbuer (fisherman's cottages) against steep mountain peaks. Known for spectacular Arctic light, with lengthy, soft sunrises and sunsets in the winter and summer, as well as the possibility of seeing the Northern Lights during the colder months.
