The Sapphire Princess is a fine ship with good facilities an spacious well appointed cabins. The food on board is good without being outstanding. Entertainment was very professional but seemed to miss out on the 'fun' element. The service charges are expensive but typical of US cruise companies. The weather conditions effected the ships schedule and we were unable to do the one Ships excursion we had booked, the alternative was expensive for what it was.

The choice of dining was good and the service from all the crew was first class. In our experience Jimmy the cabin steward, Max the waiter and Phillip barman in Churchill’s made our cruise even more pleasurable with their attentive and caring manners.

The itinerary was excellent with a variety of interesting ports of call and the captain really helped maximise the experience with a 360 at Cape Horn and getting very close to the Amalia Glacier.
The Sapphire Princess is a lovely ship, our stateroom was well equipped and there were no problems with accessing restaurants. Food was excellent in all venues.
However, the service in restaurants was very slow, even when they were not busy. . Dress code was not enforced - on a formal evening when we were nicely dressed in evening-wear, people were allowed into the restaurants wearing shorts and t-shirts, which is unacceptable when there are other dining venues available.
The variety of onboard entertainment was poor. There was little on offer during the day. The dance classes were excellent, however with over 100 people participating, there was insufficient space. Otherwise there was very little on offer. The evening entertainment was very average and certainly not to the same standard as other cruise lines.
A number of ports were accessed via tender and this service was very poorly organised from ship to shore. The concept of ticket numbers was good, however some people waited a VERY long time to get off the ship, they were left to sit on the stairs as there simply weren't enough seats to accommodate everyone being told to wait in a certain area.
Princess Cruises offers both traditional dining and their flexible 'Anytime Dining'. Anytime Dining is available from 5:30 to 10 p.m. On most Princess ships the traditional dining times are as follows: Early seating is at 5:30 p.m. 1st seating is at 6 p.m. 2nd seating is at 8:15 p.m.
Princess Cruises offers a wide range of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-sodium choices. Guests can notify the cruise line in advance, and the onboard dining team strives to cater to individual dietary requirements.
Cruises to and from Southampton have no specific baggage quantity limit but require each piece to weigh no more than 23kg for ease of handling. When flying to or from the ship, whether via charter or scheduled flight, luggage restrictions generally range from 20 to 23kg per person. Ensure no individual item exceeds 23kg to facilitate safe handling by the ship's crew.
