Staff Review - My balcony cabin was very spacious, modern and elegant with lots of great technology as you could control the TV, lighting, temperature and curtains with the iPad provided. The Wake is a must when it comes to dining with fantastic succulent steaks to die for and Gunbae for great Korean BBQ and fun drinking games with other diners at the table. The variety of dining options was a real highlight in general with everything included in the price and even ice cream and great pizza available until 2am. The main pool was great too with lovely music setting the scene, comfy beds/seats with lots of room and great cocktails from the bar nearby. The Slam Allen Blues band was our favourite entertainment at On The Rocks with great blues music while live performances at the Red Room were really spectacular too! Michele, Commercial

Staff Review - The hammocks on the balcony are really cool and the technology in the cabin is good too with pretty much everything controlled from a tablet - lights, heating, TV etc - super modern and easy! The main thing to say about dining was I tried to book the best one to celebrate my partner’s birthday but this proved impossible - they’re all the best one! From steak to Korean BBQ to Mexican - we just had to try everything. The 2 most unique ones though are Gunbae, great on the first night for meeting people with the social drinking games, and The Test Kitchen for something different. We also enjoyed the music and atmosphere by the pools and the longer time in ports than other cruise lines. We did an organised bar crawl the first night in port - great for meeting people and then spent the rest of the cruise doing things with our new pals. All the shows are really good too - Lola's Library and Another Rose in particular. The age demographic is what sets this apart from other cruises for me as well and gives it a completely different vibe with mostly 30s/40s. Phil, IT

Staff Review - I loved that you could adjust the cabin to a sofa area for hanging out during the day without a bed taking up all the space. You could do this yourself or request via a button on the app and a member of staff would change this for you. I also loved that the tablet in the room controls the lighting, curtains, music, TV etc. Really modern feature! I’m also a big fan of the balcony hammock - would happily spend the whole cruise on that! When it comes to dining, the Wake and Gunbea were my favourites. The Wake has amazing views, service and food. Hard to believe that everything is included (apart from specials such as Caviar or specialty steak)! Gunbae also boasts great food and the hosts were entertainers. You sat on a table of 8 with other guests and the focus was on socialising with them over a free drinking game and what seemed like an endless amount of food. During the daytime I preferred to relax around the pool with plenty of comfortable seats and hot tubs or head to the Social Club to play board games and have a go on the retro arcade games also free to play. There are a lot of places on the ship to sit and relax, it never feels massively busy or crowded (only the pool on the sea day, but even then there are so many places you can go where it feels like you are the only ones on the ship). In the evenings Persephone Show in the Red Room is a must - absolutely amazing standing theatre show and immersive experience. Was not expecting it at all and it did not disappoint! I also loved the Mind Mangler show here - a hilarious and interactive comedy show. Other big pluses were all the staff are very happy, friendly and helpful and check-in is super quick and easy. Staff took our luggage straight away (even though we were 3 hours early) and it was outside our cabin as soon as we got onboard (all you need is your passport and cabin number, no other paper documents or references required) - this system was brilliant throughout the whole trip at each destination too. (Wrist band was comfortable and very convenient). Loved it! Lara, Customer Care

Staff Review - The cabin was fab with a very comfy bed and lots of great storage space. The hammock on the balcony was a wonderful treat to relax with a coffee while taking in the views! My top restaurant was Pink Agave’s delicious Mexican food! Brunch at the Wake was also outstanding - great service, food and Bloody Marys. We took a few classes in the gym which were very positive and well run. Otherwise we were off ship exploring on our own. I loved all of the live music and entertainment around the ship, not just in the night clubs and theatres. This was the easiest and most relaxing cruise ever. No structure to dining and dress code really make it more enjoyable. Becky, Customer Care

Staff Review - My balcony cabin was comfortable, clean and spacious. Loved the hammock and the technology (e.g. how you could change the lights, select films etc.). The Wake and Pink Agave were my favourite restaurants as I loved the décor in both and I love steak and Mexican food!. I think Virgin Voyages are amazing when it comes to food! In terms of the daytime activities/entertainment, I was a big fan of the music quiz, which I always love to do, and even better as we won! I loved all the quirky live shows from singing duos to comedy acts - all hilarious fun and a nice change from traditional cruise shows. I also really liked the use of space and plenty of venue variety, with a bit of everything from the retro games arcade and a record shop to the cool Dock Bar. Resilient Lady is a beautiful, modern ship with opportunities to relax or do as much as you like. Anna, Marketing

Staff Review - The cabin was absolutely fantastic - very spacious! The bed was big and comfortable and the hammock on the balcony was a nice bonus. All the food was excellent throughout but The Wake steakhouse and Gunbae Korean BBQ venus really stood out for the experience. Gunbae is immersive and interactive with drinking games to make friends with those on your table (great icebreaker!) while The Wake closer to fine dining. Quizzes in the social club were varied and great fun during the day and the crew/staff were all brilliant. Scarlet Night was a great highlight as we moved around the ship and the party kept going! Shows were great too. The layout of the ship makes it never feel busy and the areas to explore keep you entertained. Andrew, Human Resources

This was our first cruise with Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady from Piraeus, Athens around the Greek Islands to Santorini, Rhodes, Mykonos and Bodrum, Turkey. We have been on other cruise ships with another company. This cruise was on a completely different level! It was amazing! The whole ambience of the ship was so relaxing with plenty of space and no problems finding seats or sun beds even on sea days. We loved our cabin with a balcony and great hammock and being able to operate lights, TV, temperature and open/close curtains using a tablet! Everything is booked via an app which was so useful! Instead of having one main restaurant there are lots of smaller ones but you do need to book the times for these. The food was exceptional! We loved Extra Virgin (upmarket Italian), Pink Agave (Mexican), The Wake (steak & seafood), The Test kitchen, Razzle Dazzle. We also loved the Mediterranean dock and dock house for lunch for the mezze. The crew and service were exceptional throughout every area and were all so friendly and make time to chat with passengers. The organisation also was exceptional. You can request anything through the app and within minutes of asking if they had any orthopaedic shaped pillows and extra clothes hangers they appeared in our cabin. Entertainment is different to other cruise ships and had a contemporary feel about it. We really enjoyed all we saw. The Scarlett night was such fun where the whole ship turns red, giant octopuses appear everywhere and the deck party was great. The places we travelled to were great. There were so many things on offer that you could do on the ship with a strong emphasis on health and well-being activities. We definitely would love to travel with Virgin Voyages again! IGLU were very good to book through

Thank you for a wonderful cruise, we have just got off the boat and are in the transfer to the airport at the moment. Everything was excellent, very professional and smooth, from the airport, transfers and of course the cruise with Virgin itself. If you need a customer reference or recommendation please let me know.
