        Today's Civitavecchia was born as an Etruscan village along the Tyrrhenian coast, but it is believed that the territory has been inhabited since the Neolithic era. The first documents mentioning the city date back to the year 107 AD; the same as the construction of the port which ended three years later. 3rd time on Victoria, I loved it again. First time Ive been inside and to be honest, it was abdolutdly fine. Infact I spent more time around the ship, joining activites rather than sit on ths balcony. 2 gala nights during our 7 day cruise but no theme, shame. New Years Eve in Amsterdam was great. The gala dinner, entertainmdnt on board and the spectacular firework display we watched from deck 10 made the night the best New Year in a long time.

Great cruise, room steward exceptional, stops OK but obvious problems with places being shut at New Year! Food really good, entertainent better than ever, embarkation and disembarkation both very smooth and extremely quick. Recommend.
