Very enjoyable cruise. Rotterdam in November was pretty bleak. Ship was as expected. It was our second on this ship. Cabin was very well designed. Loved the food. Nothing negative to say about the Queen Anne.

The ship was beautiful overall, particularly with the Christmas decorations up. It didn't feel overly busy or over-crowded compared to other large ships we have been on.
Lovely balcony cabin, albeit with a relatively small ('cosy') bathroom.
The service from the bar and restaurant staff though was decidedly lacking; which was a big disappointment, given what we had been told to expect from Cunard vs other cruise lines. They were not attentive or keen to engage and we were certianly not 'made to feel special', as Cunard suggests should be the case on their ships.
In summary therefore, a lovely ship, but generally poor service and a lack of engagement vs the other so called 'lesser quality' cruise lines we have been with.

We had a fabulous time the ship was decked out in Xmas decorations it looked wonderful we booked a club balcony and it was worth every penny the food was fantastic having 2 menus to choose from the staff were great overall we had a brilliant cruise on queen Anne.

My husband and I have recently returned from a pre Christmas cruise on the Queen Anne to Rotterdam
(Voyage number H530) which has sadly left us both extremely disappointed.
We booked Princess Grill for the larger stateroom and fine dining.
While the room itself was most comfortable, the bathroom in comparison was tiny and very restrictive.
On arrival we met our steward Teddyson for the first and only time.
We requested some fresh fruit as it was not supplied with the complimentary Prosecco but only on request. The grapes left in our room were mouldy and looked like they had come from the compost bin. Not a good start and they remained there for the entire length of our voyage.
On the afternoon of Thursday 27th we docked in Rotterdam and walked into town to explore. It was a cold, wet day and after walking back to the ship over the Erasmus Bridge we returned chilled to the bone and in need of a hot shower. This did not happen as there was no hot water and the shower was cold. After eventually getting through to the purser’s office we were told they were aware of the problem which was being fixed.
We were left cold and unable to shower before dinner.
As mentioned we booked the Princess Grill to experience fine dining at our leisure.
On arrival we introduced ourselves to the maitre d’ for our first lunch on board. We were shown to what is possibly the worst table in the room. A corner table with one seat facing a wall while the other wall was to the kitchen/serving area where there was a constant hum of air conditioning causing me to get a headache.
We asked to be moved.
On arrival for dinner that evening we were shown to a table for two in the middle of two other tables of two which were a maximum 2 inches apart.
We were basically all sitting on a table for 6 as they were that close.
An intimate dining experience for two was out of the question as was any private conversation.
I did not book the Princess Grill for a shared dining experience.
We ordered wine from the Sommelier which once it arrived and our first glass poured we were then left to pour for ourselves. He did not return even to ask if the wine was acceptable.
We ordered chateaubriand steak, crepes and rack of lamb to be flambéed at our table.
This process felt like a chore for the servers and consequently was not served with the flourish that was expected and which it deserved.
The accompanying vegetables were put down in front of us before the meat was served and were at most warm when we ate.
Not once did a server say bon appetite or enjoy your meal when it was placed in front of us.
Each morning I asked for hot toast and each morning I was served cold toast.
At one meal my husband was served his food but did not have any cutlery which he had to point out as it wasn’t noticed by our servers.
On ordering the cheese course our server was unable to get the trolley to us due to the closeness of tables. He had to manoeuvre around the room to get to us.
We had to search for a server when we wanted more coffee as they did not return to our table after pouring the first cup.
We felt there was a distinct lack of staff in the dining area and the atmosphere around us appeared cool and not at all happy and friendly.
I am highlighting the major problems that we incurred on our short voyage which is unacceptable.
I have experienced a Princess Grill cruise on the Queen Mary which was wonderful and the reason I booked the cruise as I wanted my husband to enjoy his experience as much as I did.
As you can see it did not turn out as I expected and I am extremely disappointed more so for my husband.
I cannot recommend a cruise on the Queen Anne and I will not be booking a future cruise on her.
I have actually now changed a cruise I have already booked for 2026 from the Queen Anne to Queen Mary on the strength of my recent experience.

How to book
Purchase your drinks package with your booking, or up to 4 days prior to the departure date, on the My Cunard portal. Alternatively, you can also purchase onboard during the first 2 days of your cruise.

The Alcohol-Free Collection is limited to 15 drinks per person per 24-hour period (06:00am to 05:59am)
Any drinks purchased in onboard retail venues, and all other food items, are excluded from the Alcohol-Free Collection.
Non-alcoholic and alcohol-removed beers, wines, and spirits are excluded from the Alcohol-Free Collection.

Each guest travelling in the same stateroom, except for infants ages three and under, must purchase the same World of Drinks Collection (drinks package).
Sharing drinks packages between guests in not permitted.
If purchasing a round of drinks, only the drink for the guest with the drinks package will be considered as included; all other drinks will be charged at full menu price.
Guests may only order one included beverage at a time.
Guests can not use their drinks package on day of disembarkation.
All bottles and cans will be served opened.

Pre-voyage purchases must be made at least three days before embarkation, and drinks packages may be purchased during the first two days of a voyage. Guests purchasing a drinks package on-voyage will only be charged for the remaining days of their voyage.
Pre-purchased drinks packages can be cancelled without charge no later than three days before embarkation.
Drinks packages purchased onboard are non-refundable and may not be cancelled.
Excluding on-voyage purchases, all drinks packages must be purchased for the full duration of the voyage.
