Queen Anne Reviews
View Cruise DealsThe entertainment was good and crew also. The drinks are ridiculously expensive and I’ve never seen such a dry ship mist drinking water or drinking in their cabins. If they considered reducing prices they would make a lot more. The ship however was lovely, the buffet food was good and varied, many preferring in their at night as the food in the restaurants was not the best by far.
Good. Staff were wonderful. Entertainment was really good. Plenty of activities. Two lovely pool areas. Food exceptional. Gym really well equipped and good spa facilities. Well stocked library. Laundry facilities really good. Not so good. WiFi excessively expensive. Gloomy lower interiors. Very few really comfy chairs to curl up with a book. Really uncomfortable sun beds. A reasonably priced glass of house wine would have been nice. Overall. Very aware that this is a cruise or company for rich people. Bit out of our league. We caught gastro bug and confined to cabin for 3 days but didn't seem to be ship-wide. Well handled with hit squad for cabin cleaning. Would we go again? No but perhaps that's just us.
The decor of Queen Anne is a little less traditional than Cunard’s other ships in that it is brighter but still luxurious. On the plus side is the Bright Lights Society, a small cabaret style venue. The awful plastic shower curtains have been replaced with glass doors. The theatre is a much better layout than on QM. On the down side in the cabins there is insufficient wardrobe space, particularly for long items, and it’s split into 4 different areas. The public areas can be chilly, particularly in the theatre. As usual all the crew were friendly and helpful.
A bright sparkly new cruise ship Nice bathroom cabins a bit snug with nor enough wardrobe space for 2 people sharing very low ceilings through all ship including social spaces pool area with movable roof for inclement weather good size buffet although menu was limited, plenty of spaces to accommodate sea days. MDR excellent with excellent service and staff, the one area that met with Cunard standards Queens room a major disappointment, a third of the size of Victoria's complemented with extra seating at busy times of plastic stacking chairs! majority of staff pleasant and helpful but encountered staff who didn't know how to smile and where abrupt! Some extra training needed here And the most annoying was the theatre times of 7. . 30 pm and 9. 45pm. If you were late dining of 8. 15 pm you needed to wear your trainers with your smart/gala wear to be able to sprint the length of the ship to arrive at the theatre before the show started. Witnessed 50+ guests all entering after lights out and disturbing other guests finding a seat every night!! A 10. 00 pm start would alleviate this issue and ensure everyone had the chance to have a relaxed meal and enjoy a good show in its entirety Would I book again? It would be my least choice of the Cunard fleet.
Thank you fatima reception and ryan our room attendant and all the staff
What made it different from most other cruises was the variety and quality of the entertainment. The Cunard Insights speakers were tops for us.
An excellent cruise- nothing to fault and some excellent food in the specialist Asian restaurant.
Lovely ship. Good service. Impressed with Artisan food hall. Food in main dining could have been warmer.
Exceeded our expectations. Lovely ship. Friendly attentive crew. Would sail on Queen Anne again. Seamless booking with Iglu and will use again.
We have always for many years being diamond members for a very long time sailing on QM2, QV, and QE. So, with reading so much negativity regarding QA, yes she is different so we decided to try her then to say we have sailed on all of Cunards fleet. First of all she is a beautiful ship but very modern, very tastefully designed, brilliant cabins along with a beautiful bathroom with walk in showerQueen. Staff amazing as we come to expect with Cunard, food very good, entertainment was brilliant with Alex the entertainment director who was always very informative. The shows and lectures on board were so good, all in all we have booked whilst on board to cruise the Azores in November for 12 days.
