Cagliari is the capital of Sardinia, and was the cradle of the Pre-Nuragic culture. The city was founded by the Phoenicians in around the 8th century BC, and was later colonized by different populations due to its strategic position on the Mediterranean. Among the places of interest that stand out are the Bastion of Saint Remy, the ancient quarter of Castello, and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and Santa Cecilia. There are also numerous other archaeological sites from different historical periods.
Today's Civitavecchia was born as an Etruscan village along the Tyrrhenian coast, but it is believed that the territory has been inhabited since the Neolithic era. The first documents mentioning the city date back to the year 107 AD; the same as the construction of the port which ended three years later. During a stop in Civitavecchia you can visit the Taurine Baths, the Michelangelo Fort, and the Cathedral.
Designed to be the ideal town during the Renaissance, Livorno is a charming port city in Italy’s Tuscany region and a fantastic destination for anyone looking to venture inland to marvel at the sights of Florence and Pisa. Home to a wealth of churches, sprawling villas, and palaces – thanks to its prosperous past as an important free port for the Grand Duchy of Tuscany – Livorno is the most modern of the Tuscan cities and offers visitors a fantastic balance between modern Italian culture and the grandeur of Italy in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks from the buffet and main dining restaurants are all included. Meals from the specialty dining restaurants are additional.

Lovely ship, cabin spacious and well appointed. We were not impressed with rigid dining times and having to sit with another couple every evening. We were very lucky that we git on well with them!

Found the ship very confusing with lay out - moving around the ship always seemed confusing.
Entertainment was limited - putting the main show each evening to one side, which was good. . . i found it very dull place to be. Furthermore, being at sea for 4 of the 8 days due a strike at Athens compounded it further.
The food generally was good standard and customer services dealing with question was again good.
I didnt enjoy the vacation and wont be travelling with MSC Again.

Excellent cruise. Well organised, with staff helpful and clearly knowing what to do, when and how to ensure the operations of excursions and meal times proceed smoothly. Ship very clean and common areas kept tidy and with room to move around. No hard or upsetting which we appreciated. Compared to other cruise lines MSC seem happy to simply let you get on with things without day to day hand holding and information.

Buffet food was always far too busy. Some of the “”hot” breakfast meals were only just warm sometimes.
Pizzas were always outstanding.
Limited choice and not much chicken on the menu.
MSC offer two seated dining options, which they call Classic Dining. There is an early sitting at around 7pm and a late sitting at around 9pm. These sittings can varyby ship. MSC also offer a more flexible dining option called 'My Time' dining. This allows you to chose the time that you dine in the main restaurant. Aurea guests have an anytime dining option.
MSC offers a wide range of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-sodium choices. Guests can notify the cruise line in advance, and the onboard dining team strives to cater to individual dietary requirements.
MSC guests are limited to two suitcases and two pieces of hand luggage when checking in for their cruise. However, we highly recommend that you read your cruise ticket in full before travelling as these limits may change.
Apart from their fantastic formal and themed evenings, MSC guests are invited to wear casual resort attire whilst on board. Casual resort attire would incude a shirt with chinos, or summer dresses and a jacket. Whislt formal wear would be a suit or smart evening trousers with a jacket and tie, and cocktail dresses.
Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.
