Experience the electrifying energy of Tokyo, where cutting-edge technology, rich history, and vibrant culture come together in one amazing city.
A beautiful seaside city, Kagoshima boasts an active volcano that overlooks Kinko Bay. Due to its warm temperature, palm tree-lined streets and the volcano, the city has been compared with Naples in Italy. In Kagoshima there are an array of landmarks and attractions, including the Kagoshima City Aquarium, Hirakawa Zoo and beautiful Sengan-en Gardens.
Gangjeong is a captivating coastal village on the southern shore of Jeju Island, uniquely positioned where the freshwater of the Gangjeongcheon River meets the salt spray of the East China Sea. Long celebrated for its citrus groves and lush scenery, it has recently transformed into a major international gateway as the site of the island’s primary cruise terminal. A visit typically involves strolling along the Gangjeong Sunset Road, where the panoramic views of the sea and distant islands are framed by the silhouette of Mount Halla. While it has become a symbol of maritime importance, the village maintains a tranquil charm, offering travelers a peaceful base to explore nearby natural wonders like the hexagonal Jusangjeolli Cliffs and the vibrant walking paths of the Jeju Olle Trail.
A major city in Japan’s Nagasaki Prefecture, but with a population density half of what Nagasaki itself has, Sasebo is a fantastic place to immerse yourself in modern Japanese culture without the overwhelming nature of a sprawling metropolis like Tokyo. And, with unique attractions like the Tenkaiho Observatory, Huis Ten Bosch, and Saikai National Park all a short distance from Sasebo city centre, there’s more than enough to keep you busy during your time here. If you’re a foodie, you’ll be pleased to know that – alongside all the delicious Japanese dishes you know and love – you’ll also find the Sasebo Burger here – hand-made hamburgers introduced over 50 years ago by soldiers at Sasebo’s American Navy Base that have since become a national phenomenon.
Explore Kobe’s scenic harbour, savour its world-renowned beef, and immerse yourself in the city’s rich cultural fusion.

The MSC Bellissima is a lovely ship, a little smaller than the one we sailed on earlier this year, the Virtuosa, but still a joy to travel in. We upgraded to the Yacht Club which we feel was well worth it as the service level is that much higher, there's more peace within the club than elsewhere in the ship, the food was excellent and the use of a butler really does come into its own when leaving the ship for an excursion etc, for going to a show, in fact for doing anything on the ship as there's no queueing for anything, the butler just takes you to the front! For some strange reason I was surprised to find a large % of Japanese guests on the ship, which was stupid in hindsight, and we (English speaking) were definitely in the minority - although our Japanese fellow cruisers were extremely nice and friendly to talk to. We both felt that the food on board Bellissima was superior to the Virtuosa and the shows were much better with a good variety of real quality singers and dancers. The ultimate question would be - would we sail on Bellissima again - yes!

Went on 28 June, Beautiful ship, Yes it's noisy in buffet Restraunt, but doesn't spoil your cruise. Food in buffet was fine, but some food such as Chilli, and Pizzas which had bacon, meat was all day, but you can just get something else, but MSC need to take note. Main Restraunt was lovely, you where made too feel special and looked after well. Food choice was about 6 dishes or they would make you something, on request. West end style shows each evening which are free. We had Inside cabin for our first cruise beautiful and room service fantastic staff work hard throughout the ship, long hours, some looked tired, as they work 7 days a week 12 hour days, so give them some understanding and respect. I took a normal 2 piece suite, shirt and tie, but as long as your smart for the main restaraunt you'll be fine. Trips from ship sent really long enough i.e Pompeii, which was only 1.20 mins as we also went to Sorrento, so bear that in mind when planning your trips. Porta Fino is a must go trip. Where going on the same ship beginning of March to Dubai, so it must be good. P.S plenty of sun loungers with plenty of room, but the pool area is a busy place.
MSC offer two seated dining options, which they call Classic Dining. There is an early sitting at around 7pm and a late sitting at around 9pm. These sittings can varyby ship. MSC also offer a more flexible dining option called 'My Time' dining. This allows you to chose the time that you dine in the main restaurant. Aurea guests have an anytime dining option.
MSC offers a wide range of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and low-sodium choices. Guests can notify the cruise line in advance, and the onboard dining team strives to cater to individual dietary requirements.
MSC guests are limited to two suitcases and two pieces of hand luggage when checking in for their cruise. However, we highly recommend that you read your cruise ticket in full before travelling as these limits may change.
Apart from their fantastic formal and themed evenings, MSC guests are invited to wear casual resort attire whilst on board. Casual resort attire would incude a shirt with chinos, or summer dresses and a jacket. Whislt formal wear would be a suit or smart evening trousers with a jacket and tie, and cocktail dresses.
Iglu Cruise has a team in place to provide necessary assistance to make your holiday run smoothly. If anyone in your party requires medical or mobility assistance, notify your Cruise Specialist at the time of booking or as soon as possible if circumstances change after booking. The Special Assistance Team will email a form 6-8 weeks before departure, which must be completed and returned.
Travel requirements

A mixture of historic landmarks and modern skyscrapers, Hiroshima is a world-famous city that’s situated on Japan’s Honshu Island. When visiting the city, you will see ruins of buildings that were destroyed by the atomic bomb in the Second World War, alongside memorials that commemorate the event. Top sights to see when in Hiroshima include the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, Shukkeien Garden and the Hiroshima Garden.
Situated in the heart of the city, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum was created in 1955 to showcase the events of World War II. Featuring an array of exhibits, including belongings that were left by the victims of the bombing, its aim is to acknowledge the realisation of ‘permanent world peace’.
Shukkeien Garden
Tranquil and picturesque, the Shukkeien Garden dates back to the early 17th century. As you follow the path through the garden, you’ll see a variety of miniaturised sceneries, tea houses and a selection of local plant life.
Hiroshima Castle
Also known as Carp Castle, Hiroshima Castle was built in the late 16th century and was one of the largest castles in the country. However, it was destroyed by the atomic bomb, leading to it having to be rebuilt. An iconic landmark in the city, it’s surrounded by beautiful scenery and has a vast collection of historical exhibits.

Gangjeong Sunset Road is a serene experience that showcases the coastal beauty of southern Jeju. Spanning approximately 3.2 kilometres along the massive breakwater of the Jeju Civilian-Military Complex Port, the path feels like a bridge between the land and the vast Pacific. As you walk or cycle along the wide, paved road, you are treated to an unobstructed 360-degree panorama: the emerald sea on one side and the majestic silhouette of Mount Halla rising above the island's lush greenery on the other. True to its name, the road becomes magical in the late afternoon. As the sun dips toward the horizon, the sky transforms into a canvas of deep oranges and purples, silhouetting the distant Beomseom and Munseom islands. It is a popular spot for locals and photographers seeking a quiet, meditative atmosphere away from the busier tourist hubs.
Yakcheonsa Temple
Yakcheonsa Temple is an awe-inspiring experience, as it is home to one of the largest Buddhist Dharma Halls in Asia. Standing nearly 30 metres tall, the multi-tiered main hall is decorated with vibrant, intricate murals and houses a magnificent five-metre-tall statue of the Vairocana Buddha. As you wander through the grand temple complex, the air is often filled with the rhythmic sound of the "Great Bell," and the scent of incense drifts from the ornate shrines. Beyond the spiritual architecture, the temple’s hillside location offers a tranquil escape, with lush palm-fringed gardens and a spacious courtyard that provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the Jeju coastline.
Yeomiji Botanical Garden
Yeomiji Botanical Garden is a lush escape into what is often called one of Asia's best and largest botanical sanctuaries. Located in the Jungmun Tourist Complex, the experience centers on a massive, UFO-shaped glass greenhouse that houses six distinct themed habitats, including a misty Jungle Garden, a diverse Cactus Garden, and a fragrant Tropical Fruit Garden. A highlight for many is taking the elevator 38 metres up to the central observation tower, which offers a spectacular 360-degree panorama of Mount Halla, the rugged coastline, and the distant Marado Island on clear days. Beyond the greenhouse, you can wander through 110,000 square metres of outdoor space featuring traditional folk gardens from Korea, Japan, Italy, and France, or take a leisurely tour on the garden's sightseeing train.
