For those that want to see the beauty of County Donegal in all of its glory, heading up the Slieve League Cliffs is a must whilst visiting Killybegs. Situated on the Atlantic, the views you get from 601 metres up is simply awe-inspiring. The second-highest cliffs in Ireland, this impressive hike is only a 15 minute drive from Carrick.

Known as the secret waterfall of Donegal, the picturesque Largy Waterfall is well worth a visit whilst in Killybegs. Only a 5 minute drive from the port, it’s a 50 metre tall waterfall with beautiful surroundings.

Built in the 19th century, this Victorian era castle is an iconic landmark in Stornoway. Originally home to Sir James Mathson, this beautiful building overlooks the harbour and now offers accommodation for those visiting the town, alongside a museum and a cafe.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for a more relaxing activity, you can wander around Stornoway Harbour - a natural harbour that’s home to a small fishing fleet, coast guard and lifeboat station and a port that caters for ferries and other ships. At the heart of the town, it’s open all day, year-round.

A historic feature of the town, the Stornoway Waterwheel has been in the area for over 100 years. Previously attached to Latta’s Mill which was burnt down in the late 19th century, it’s situated near Lews Castle.

An award-winning Museum, the Shetland Museum and Archives is situated in the centre of Lerwick. At this modern museum, you’ll learn all about the history of the islands and discover an array of collections. Run by the Shetland Amenity Trust, this is a unique dive into the cultural heritage of the islands.

A stunning waterfall that is reachable on foot from the cruise port, the Asafossen waterfall is simply stunning. Measuring 180m, this impressive attraction rushes down the slope across the street from Vassbakken Kro & Camping in Skjolden. And over the years, Sherpas from Nepal have strengthened and protected the ascent to the waterfall, making it quite simple to walk up to it.

If you’ve ever wanted to meet or walk llamas, you’re in for a treat. At this scenic farm you can opt to walk along the lake and get to know these amazing animals. The second opera theatre in Norway and the home of Opera is the Nordfjord Opera theatre. North of the Sagastad Viking Centre, in the western Norwegian town of Nordfjordeid, it's run by the Vestland County Municipality and Stad Municipality. It houses an array of performances, including theatre shows, concerts and more. It’s also a cinema and library.

If you want to learn all about the Vikings, head to the Sagastad Viking Centre. From the 30-metre Myklebust long ship to other fascinating displays and artefacts, it will make you feel as though you’ve been transported back in time. Located nearby to the Viking centre is the picturesque Sagaparken. With incredible views of the surrounding fjord, it’s the ultimate place to sit and watch the world go by. A popular picnic spot, there’s lots of benches and green spaces within it to enjoy.

One of three beaches in the area, this picturesque beach has a small swimming area that features a diving board. A wonderful way to spend a day in Eidfjord, you’ll feel as though you’re in a fairytale when you arrive here.

The Church of Norway's parish church in Eidfjord Municipality, Vestland County, Norway, is known as Eidfjord Church. Serving as the parish church for the Eidfjord area of the Hardanger og Voss prosti in the Diocese of Bjrgvin. The architect Sigurd Sekse's designs were used to construct the rectangular, contemporary-looking red brick church in 1981 and it caters for around 375 people.

In the heart of Gothenburg, Sweden, there is a park and horticultural garden called The Garden Society of Gothenburg. Situated next to Kungsportsavenyen, it was established 1842 and features an array of beautiful plant life from local flowers to tropical plants found within the greenhouse.

Gothenburg is home to the popular Volvo Museum. It covers the growth of Sweden's top automaker, Volvo, from the original "V 4" to the present-day automobiles, lorries, buses, and other goods. A popular attraction with those that love to learn about the history of cars, it's situated just outside of the city centre.

The Little Mermaid sculpture, perhaps one of Copenhagen's most well-known tourist destinations, took inspiration from Hans Christian Andersen's well-known fairy tale. The Little Mermaid, a gift from Danish brewer Carl Jacobsen to the City of Copenhagen, was unveiled on August 23, 1913 and is located on Langelinie Pier.

Situated in the centre of Copenhagen, Tivoli Gardens is a theme park with rides, a beautiful lake, shops, cafes and more. The third-oldest operational amusement park in the world, it dates back to 1843. A magical attraction that’s worth a visit when you’re in Copenhagen, it has something for all ages.

Located near Strget in Copenhagen's downtown, it's the perfect day out for those wanting to learn more about Denmark's captivating past.
