Things to do
Swim with Sea Turtles
Swimming with sea turtles at the Baradal Turtle Sanctuary is a magical experience where you can float in shallow, turquoise water just inches away from these gentle creatures. Because the area is a protected marine park, the turtles are remarkably calm, often grazing on seagrass while snorkelers hover quietly above them. It is one of the few places in the world where you are almost guaranteed an up-close encounter with green and hawksbill turtles in their completely natural, wild habitat.
Relax at Saltwhistle Bay
Saltwhistle Bay is a beautiful, quiet beach shaped like a half-moon. It has soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and plenty of palm trees for shade. Since the water is shallow and clear, it’s a perfect spot for a relaxing swim or enjoying a drink at a local beach shack while watching the boats.
Church of the Immaculate Conception
The Church of the Immaculate Conception is a historic stone chapel at the highest point of the island. It is most famous for the incredible viewpoint right behind it, where you can see the entire Tobago Cays from above. It’s a steep but short walk up the hill and is the best place on Mayreau to take panoramic photos.
