Disney Fantasy Reviews
View Cruise DealsA great trip, the staff were super helpful and the entertainment especially shows were great. This would have been 5 star but the bun fight to even get a table for breakfast was disappointing, sometimes having to wait 15-20 mins and then only being able to eat at a breakfast bar.
Everything was fantastic. The staff helpfully and smiley. The shows brilliant. Food great. lovely atmosphere To top it off were the character meets. Just pure fantasy.
Magical
Amazing
A must do for disney fans. If you've visited and love the parks, you're going to love the cruise ship. While a lot more expensive than comparable cruises, you get that back in the amazing theming, activities and character meet and greets. Thr only things that could be improved are the choice of food in mdr and that the buffet is not open for dinner. We loved it all and have already booked a placeholder for our next disney cruise.
We loved our cruise on the Disney Fantasy. A beautiful ship with so many activities for young and old!! Fun, happy feel everywhere. The food in the main dining rooms can be hit and miss. But overall very good. For the price it should be excellent every evening! We wish that Cabanas was open longer. (The buffet) The food quality and selection here is fantastic 👌 The poolside food was also lovely and the tea, coffee, soft drinks are available all the time and kept well stocked and clean. Our cabin was wonderful we had a navigators verandah 7170 and it was perfect for us. We were close to the adult area of the ship, near the lifts so we had easy access to everything. It was kept clean and tidy and had plenty of space. Our balcony was perfect and had a tiny covered area to the left which was perfect if the weather wasn't so good. Its not a cheap cruise. The tipping takes a bit of getting used to. (as a Brit) we prepaid gratuities, but there is still an extra gratuity added to each drink ordered or item purchased The atmosphere was fabulous 👌 Happy, warm, the crew are wonderful, they are helpful, smiley and make you all feel special. (As you would expect from Disney) The ship itself looks beautiful, it's kept immaculate and crew are constantly cleaning and looking after your surroundings. The shows are fantastic, we were lucky enough to see Aladdin, Frozen and the final show called Believe, what a wonderful show, many classic unexpected characters appear ❤️ If we could afford it, we would definitely do another Disney Cruise!!
We had a really good time in the cruise. The children enjoyed the food and activities on the ship. The only negative thing I would say was that the gratitude’s payment of 16 dollars a day per passenger was not go. I queried it and was told that we did not have to pay it and we could pay a different amount or none if we chose not to pay. I think this should have been brought to the travellers attention before going on the cruise.
Lovely ship, and we had a great time. We had a one bedroom suite for a 3 generation family holiday, which was comfortable & gave second bathroom. Stateroom & concierge service were very good, some restaurant staff did not interact at all. The shows were exceptional, plenty of choices for quality meals. A lot of character meets, but very long queues, which caused congestion as the walkways were too narrow for the number of passengers. Disney need to work out a better system - for example virtual queuing. We had our nearly 4 year old granddaughter and she found it magical, and we benefitted from that experience. Would not recommend the Royal Court Tea, as they don’t provide enough food for everyone on the table to taste each item, and adults get just one teabag. The child aspect and entertainment were great. Despite the disappointments, we had a great time.
Overall a lovely cruise, the staff were very friendly and helpful especially the dining staff! The ship had a lovely atmosphere making it a magical place for my little 6 and 3 year old. The state room was comfortable and clean and we could order free room service for tea and coffee when required The theatre and the shows were amazing and you could always get a seat Pixie dusting is a big thing so take a little hanging pouch thing to hang outside it’s like Christmas every day!! The only points that I would suggest need addressing are:- Put more Disney characters around the ship for photo ops the queues were horrific and very slow we gave up as the kids were too restless The pool temperature - this was the first cruise out of the UK The weather had turned colder (29th August) and the pool was icy the smaller pool was warmer but for 3 and under which meant my 2 children could not stay together in one pool, if they are going to continue cruises for kids from here warm the water! The options for GF are limited in the Capanas restaurant and there are no signs up, you can order some things but if you wanted a quick snack it wasn’t straight forward If your kids like non fizzy drinks like squash take some with you as the only option is apple / orange juice I would take little cartons of milk shakes or fruit shoots if I went again (or the little concentrated squash pouch) Speciality Coffee’s are really nice but quite expensive but you can get regular coffee for free If you buy the internet package go straight to Guest services to set it up, she took my phone and changed it to flight mode and did so much more that I had no idea about lol A lovely 3 days overall and a good sign when the kids were sad that they had to leave!
An amazing week on a fabulous ship 🚢
