Unfortunately, our experience on the Costa Smeralda was overshadowed by a very disappointing and misleading situation with the onboard photo service. My husband and I were told by staff that for 229 euros we would receive a photo package that included both printed and digital photos. Based on this explanation, we agreed and paid in full. After taking our money, the situation completely changed. We were given only about three usable photo of myself, while the photos of my husband were given to us. When I asked for the single photo of myself, we were then told I would have to pay an additional 22 euros per photo. This was never explained upfront and directly contradicted what we were originally promised. This felt extremely misleading and unfair. We trusted what we were told, only to find out later that the terms had changed after payment was taken. Instead of feeling excited about having special memories from our cruise, we left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. For a cruise line of this size and reputation, this kind of practice is unacceptable. Transparency and honesty matter, especially when guests are already paying premium prices. This experience seriously impacted our overall impression of the cruise, and I hope Costa addresses this so future guests are not treated the same way.

Our cruise was 50/50 Some good some bad. Cabin quite small, food sometimes good sometimes bad. ship too big and too crowded. Even charged us 22 euros fees for the day we disembarked at 9. 30 am

Whilst the cruise did not have a lot of British passengers onboard, we had a superb time. Cabin was spotless and roomy. Service by all staff was first class. Food was amazing at all times with nothing we thought was bad. Entertainment was some of the best we have seen at sea. We will definitely be going back with Costa again. Ignore all of the bad press and reviews as it's not as bad as people make out. Fantastic well designed ship.

Ship was amazing and clean. Staff worked hard but didn't have time to give guests the same level of attention that you receive with other cruise lines . Restaurant food was hit and miss . Overall good value for money
