Brilliant Lady Reviews
View Cruise DealsAbsolutely wonderful cruise line. Now only ever want to cruise with Virgin. Everything is exceptional – the staff, food, entertainment, wi-fi. Soft drinks are free. Couldn’t fault it.
Had a great time on Brilliant Lady. We loved the layout of the ship. Plenty of quiet chill out areas & food was great.
Entertainment was good but the venues were to small also some Entertainment was on far to enjoy if you had a excursion in the morning Food in the restaurants but unable book any so had to eat early to get a seat. Seating was crowded
Great new ship. Well maintained and clean at all times. Hard working crew. Cabin nice, bathroom rather small though. Entertainment quite good, depends on individual tastes.
Lovely ship and excellent staff. The main problem is with booking the restaurants. Tried to book before we left but we only managed to get one reservation for the whole cruise. Went to sailor services who managed to book us in but very often too late at night for us. Cabin was modern but lacked storage. The lighting was too dark especially for applying makeup. Bathroom was small. Hammock on the balcony was fantastic! Limited entertainment as went to see a show in the second week that we'd already seen. Difficult to find quiet spaces during the day to read and relax as music playing in all public areas. Excursions were quite expensive and the one to Peggy's Cove gave us less than an hour at the town. The virgin voyages app was regularly sending out notifications trying to upsell products and services.
We were originally on floor 5 underneath The Manor (disco and shows) and the noise was unbearable so we had to move cabins. They did offer us earplugs 🤔 Be warned. Also unable to book restaurants and keep fit when we arrived on the ship as rock star bookings are able to snap these up 2 weeks before general release so we ate a in the Galley most nights which becomes a little boring after 16 days.
Ship was ok not loads to do like we first thought when we booked it. Getting on board was a joke leaving everyone standing around for a couple of hours but once we went upstairs to get our wristbands there was loads of empty seats that we could of all used, there was loads of older people waiting on sticks. A lot of the entertainment in the manor and the red room was more queuing until it got full and we was turned away. A lot of the seating on board is like all sitting in what seemed like a corridor, even in the coffee place. The worse thing we found was around the pool side on deck 15 the music was so loud and clubby. We asked 3 days on the trot can you turn it down a bit as we and others wanted to relax. People we leaving because of it. We asked, messaged and went down to reception but not listenied to! Even the food gallery it was noisy. So unnecessary, the age group we 40 up to about 90. For this reason we I'll not be travelling with virgin any time soon. The few bands we saw were amazing though and food was extremely good. On the whole the ship is like IKEA on steroids all mdf and gloss.
Fabulous holiday on Brilliant Lady. Lovely cabin . Very modern , clean and immaculate . Great food choices throughout the ship. Excellent entertainment
We went on the falls trip from NYC. Firstly I think it was too early to claim “fall” so that was disappointing. Very difficult to get into free shows . We queued 40mins and when we got in there was no room so we had to watch on a screen . Even the show where we paid 50 USD per person we had to Queue and again didn't get a good seat . It took us nearly 1hr to disembark, it was a shambles. On the otherhand the food was good, the staff were amazing and the cabin lovely. However, every virgin ship is the same, which I think is a shame, as once you've been once then the novelty wears off.
Cruising with the Brilliant Lady is fabulous. The crew are very attentive, the food is very good and has a great variety. The cabin is well equipped and the balcony has 2 chairs and a hammock
