Launching in August 2027, Oceania Sonata is the latest ship to debut within the fleet, and promises redefined luxury and elegance around every turn. Sitting within the new ‘Sonata’ class, this extraordinary vessel has been designed to be the cruise line’s most spacious, facility-rich and opulent ship to date. Catering for 190 more guests than Oceania Allura, and weighing in at 86,000 tons, it features a variety of beloved facilities and some new amenities that guests are bound to love.
Whilst it caters for more guests, Oceania Sonata will still maintain the intimate, small ship feel that the brand is popular for, whilst introducing a new level of residential luxury. In this blog, we’ll take you through the top highlights onboard, along with listing some of the top cruise itineraries that you can look forward to in its inaugural season.

From delicate hors d’oeuvres to mouth-watering entrees, the selection of cuisine onboard Oceania Sonata is designed to impress. Not only are there the beloved classics, such as Toscana and Red Ginger, but two new dining concepts - La Table par Maîtres Cuisiniers de France and Nikkei Kitchen, each offering elevated dishes.

Nikkei Kitchen - offering Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine
Oceania Cruises partnered with chef Gustavo Sugay to develop a delicious menu, with the talented chef having previously worked on the menu in Red Ginger. Nikkei Kitchen is open in the evening, features an open kitchen and is bright and modern. No reservations are required for this speciality restaurant.

La Table par Maîtres Cuisiniers de France - an exclusive, intimate dining experience
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for an exclusive fine-dining experience at sea, this restaurant will tick all the boxes. Serving just 18 guests a night, it is the only restaurant to be helmed by two chefs from the Maîtres Cuisiniers de France (Master Chefs of France), Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barelle, who are the line’s Executive Culinary Directors. Not only will you find an exquisite menu featuring French cuisine, but the restaurant will also host the Dom Pérignon Experience, a six-course tasting menu paired with Dom Pérignon.
