The food was really good. Plenty of choice. All the staff went out there way to help. Entertainment was really good every night. The Balmoral was very clean. Staff always cleaning. Our cabin was very spacious and the house keeper kept our room lovely. The only down side was a small bottle of water in the cabin was £3. I thought it would be included in the cabin.

Ship is dated in places and needs a revamp. Shows were okay but two repeat acts, one guy a comedian who was funny the other girl comedian/singer was a better singer the comedian. Staff good. Restaurants okay, but I think the times when they are open are very regimented. Food was okay but not brilliant. I wouldn’t go on a Fred Olsen cruise again as clientele is very old. Also there was a serious outbreak of gastroenteritis halfway through the cruise, we have never had this on a cruise before.
