We started at Niagara Falls then travelled by Amtrak to New York before boarding the Valiant Lady to head to Halifax and back. On the last couple of days we were caught up in the storms that battered the east coast of America. The Valiant Lady was superb in the bad weather - it's a modern ship with stabilisers, which really worked. Food on board was absolutely brilliant and so was the service. We took trips in all the ports and these were good but pricey. Hats off to Iglu customer care - we arrived late to port which meant we missed our transfer taxi. The replacement Uber has already been refunded by them. Would highly reccomend booking with Iglu
All crew were helpful and polite without going over the top. Cabin staff didn’t pester you as you had an electronic switch system on your door for privacy or make my cabin up The cabins were very modern, clean and comfortable. Loved the make up remover flannels Could change mood lighting in room Food on ship was SUPERB free ice cream and soda drinks plus water in your cabin, and a fridge. Ice and water available from buffet as well Shows were good having the opportunity to see them more than once if you missed one. Loved the casual dining being able to dress comfortably. Running track and gym superb best I’ve ever seen on a ship. Would love to go again - worth every penny
There was no onboard ship route tracking map as other cruise ships have. So it was not easy to find out where we were while cruising until we reached to port.
Lovely ship with good furnishingds. Cabin size a bit tight to what i am use to. Like that there are no children. Thousht the band idea was good, less fussy than a card. Staff all supurb and could not do enough for you. More hot water places needed. Sometimes the ladies toilets were difficult to find and access.
