Excellent cruise,well organised ,good food,lovely ship.Nothing we could fault.Only critism was that tickets did not arrive till late (not the fault of the cruise line).
The ship was amazing with every requirement met. The crew were exceptional and made our holiday very enjoyable. They could not have been more helpful. The food was fantastic and every taste catered for. The Cruise Director and his assistant were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this cruise ship and the trip on the Mosel and Rhine.
The ship, the cabins, the crew were all excellent. The food was superb despite there being too much of it. Fellow cruisers were as expected and there was a relaxed sense of camaraderie with the Riviera team team holding informative briefing sessions and some silly fun entertainments. There was a considerable number of excursions all of which were optional and included in the basic price. These were well organised with high quality guides(there was only one poor guide). Therefore, there was no pressure to have several bolt on costs which is always irritating. We enjoyed seeing many places, learned much of the history and keenly compared the developments of the different countries after the miserable communist dead hand. We saw 5 countries in total. The Danube is actually rather boring; it goes on for mile after mile with its densely tree lined banks and nothing to see. There are many derelict industrial sites and there seems to be little use of the river. No pleasure craft and not much commercial traffic. On a separate note regarding Iglu, easier telephone contact would have been appreciated after the initial booking and I am still waiting for my promised booking inducement which my friend received. Hope my comments are of use and interest.
Rating = 5 Food, staff, cabin, included excursions, We’re excellent. But on board pianist was Poor, no interaction with guests at all. Also, There was no social / music activities Organised at night or during cruise days When wet and unable to use outside deck, Except one quiz night. Every other cruise We have been on has entertainment or activities Organised for night time and cruising time
