The Azura was so good we're going on it again soon! The staff were exceptional. Catered for every want and need. I had a problem at my cabin. Reported it and the issue was resolved before I returned. The cabin was with a balcony, the room basic but exactly what was advertised. From bars, restaurants and entertainment - all fabulous! The added touch of not having to deal with luggage to and from the cabin is beyond amazing. My only issue was with Iglu before leaving, we added a card to the site and tried to pay for the deluxe package, the site wouldn't accept the card and when I called to explain the issue and that I was a first time cruiser the agent hung up on me instead of offering help. The next agent via chat told me to sort it on the ship. I did, but it was more expensive with a more basic package because it was purchased on board, something Iglu would have known. When I contacted them to say I was £220. 08 out of pocket because of this issue I was not offered any kind of compensation for their poor support. As a result our 2nd cruise is booked through P&O.
Here's a balanced way to include that feedback while keeping the overall review positive: We’ve just returned from an amazing family holiday on P&O Ventura, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the boarding process was smooth, well organised and completely stress-free, which was the perfect start to our cruise. One thing that really stood out was how clean the ship was. Everywhere we went, the hygiene standards were excellent, and it was clear that the crew took great pride in keeping Ventura spotless. It made us feel comfortable and able to relax from day one. The only area where we felt there was room for improvement was at the pizza and burger stations. As vegetarians, we would have appreciated staff using separate gloves and preparation areas when making vegetarian pizzas and burgers to help avoid cross-contamination. We noticed this happened quite often, and it was a little off-putting. We'd love to see this improved for future cruises. The evening entertainment was brilliant, with something for everyone. We especially enjoyed the theatre shows they were professionally performed and thoroughly entertaining. The only small suggestion we'd make is that we'd have loved to see even more theatre productions during the cruise, as they were one of the highlights of our evenings. What really made the holiday unforgettable, though, was the crew. Every member of staff we met was genuinely friendly, welcoming, accommodating and understanding. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and they always greeted us with a smile. Their kindness and hard work made a real difference to our holiday. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and felt it was excellent value for money. We'd like to say a huge thank you to the entire P&O Ventura team for all your hard work and for helping create so many wonderful family memories. We can't wait to sail with you again! This version keeps the tone constructive rather than critical, making it more likely that the feedback will be well received.
Great itinerary and fabulous ship. Variety of places to eat with main menus changing every day. A little lacking in pool space for kids. Crew very attentative and friendly.
