In the heart of the city lies the Chamberlain Bridge. Originally a 19th century swing bridge, and now a lift bridge that was constructed in 2006, it offers picturesque views out over the waterfront and situated close to the popular Bridgetown boardwalk.

An important landmark in the city, the Parliament Buildings are built in a gothic architecture. Featuring stained glass windows, a clock tower, the National Gallery and more, it makes for a fascinating visit whilst stopping off in the capital.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, La Fortaleza was built between the 16th and 20th centuries with the aim of protecting the city of San Juan. It has been a fortress, a prison and a residence, and is open for visitors to explore during the day.

In San Juan, there is a fort called Castillo San Cristóbal. The Spanish constructed it to defend San Juan against land-based assaults. Part of the San Juan National Historic Site, it's arguably the greatest fortification erected by the Spanish in the New World.

The writings of local poet Lady Lee Andrews are shown at this store, art gallery, and cafe. A lot of aspiring poets attend the regular open-mic sessions; making it a unique place to visit during a trip to San Juan.

This cool cable car takes you all the way up from the bottom of the cruise terminal harbour area to Paradise Point for stunning views all the way up. At the top is a great restaurant and bar too to take in the sights in true paradise.

Originally called Skytsborg and constructed by Danish colonists for defence and a vantage point, this modern-day hotel also has entertaining guided tours to learn all about the history of Edward and his infamous band of marauding pirates.

A short drive away from the port, the Charlotte Amalie Overlook grants extraordinary views out towards the ocean. Although this isn’t within walking distance, the views that you get across the city is well worth the effort.

Frederiksted is a fantastic destination for scuba diving, with calm waters and a thriving coral reef making it as comparatively relaxing as it is rewarding. You’ll also find unique ship wrecks littering the warm waters around St. Croix’s primary port, including a fishing trawler, a barge, and a tugboat. An incredible adventure, trained divers won’t regret enjoying a scuba diving excursion here.

A historic urban centre at the heart of Christiansted, the largest town on St. Croix and a destination just a short drive from Frederiksted, the Christiansted National Historic Site is home to six historic structures worth exploring: Fort Christiansvaern, the Danish West India and Guinea Company Warehouse, the Church of Our Lord Sabaoth Steeple Building, the Customs House, the Scale House, and the Government House. All constructed throughout the 1730s to the 1840s, these sites offer an invaluable insight into the colonial history of the island and the region.

Want to know how rum is made? Well, a visit to the Cruzan Rum Distillery in Diamond, Frederiksted might be one of the best places in the world to do just that. Home to world-famous, award-winning rum, a tour of this historic distillery – which has been making rum since the 1760s – will take you through the entire rum-making process before giving you the chance to enjoy some of this delicious drink, straight or in a signature cocktail!

Take a short walk to the top of Morne Bruce, a small Mountaintop on the outskirts of Roseau, and take in the incredible views of the island. Looking over the city and white-sand beaches with a backdrop of mountains, it's the best of both worlds.

Visit one of Dominica's oldest trading markets in Roseau. An incredibly historic place in the Caribbean that has found new life by showcasing local goods and crafts from the people native to the city. Take a step into the day-to-day life of the residents and experience Roseau like no other.

Some of Dominca's beautiful Botanical Gardens make up the vibrant capital city. Tucked beneath Morne Bruce Hill, the 40-acre botanic gardens contain Banyan trees, Century palms, and beautiful tropical flowers. This is a great place for a wander in the nature of the Caribbean.
