Southern Caribbean from Ft. Lauderdale with Miami Beach Stay, 19 February 2025 (12 nights)

Fab cruise for the price but if I'd paid a lot more as some had for the ship, I would be disappointed. Value for money for the price we got with you was great even on one of the oldest ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet.

Grandeur is ideal for couples and small children but the larger ships are better appointed for teenagers.

Only criticism was in Great Gatsby restaurant being asked maybe 20 times in one sitting by 2- 3 waiting staff how our day was, how's the food etc. You'd get the senior waiter coming around twice and asking exactly the same questions - obviously with the numbers being served he'd understandably forgotten he'd already seen us and didn't have anything other than the standard set of questions to ask. Otherwise a great, memorable week. Lovely to see local Caribbeans getting subsidised to see some if the wider region they live in too.

once at the dock we were met by very rude port staff having a go at us as we didnt understand what was going on. the final (and unessassery lft test at the dock was a joke. it took hours to do due to poor organisation. on only confirmed the test we took the day before. there wasnt much for my 7 year old to do on the ship but we were ok with this as it was a time for us as a family to spend time together but she did want to do the climbing wall. we turned up at the right time to find a member of staff sat on his phone and totally ignored us for some time. he finally told us that the wall was open yesterday but not today as it needed parts. he said we can go on it on the next cruise!?! that was an unbelievable remark and he then went back to playing on his phone. We needed sun tan lotion one morning and due to covid we couldnt go to the port till the pm for our excursion so we asked on the ship. we were told we couldnt get any till 6.30pm when the shop opened. this is appoling treatment and we had to point out that with two young children and the risk of skin cancer sun screen is important someone finally let us purchase some from the ship. this is shocking. i had set up my credit card to pay for the on ship expenses to get a letter telling me to pay in cash. i went to guest services to be told that my card had been refused and i had to call my bank to sort it. i did and after a very expensive call due to roaming charges i was told the issue was not with my card but with the boat payment system. i highlighted this and was told ow we could have given you a call to the bank. i am out of pocket for an error by Royal Caribbean staff and the rudeness was shocking. i attempted to make a complaint there and then and was just told to email this email address. We took an excursion in St Lucia to the beach. i understand this is not royal caribbean's fault but i feel you should be aware that once we were crammed into a sun lounger we were surrounded by 7 or 8 young men who were selling drugs on the beach. what made this worse was a number of your guests who were sat next to us then smoked them blowing smoke towards my 3 and 7 year old. i do know you have no control over this but it is very concerning this activity was taking place so close you young children. we couldnt move due to no room on the beach so ended up stood in the sea....but still able to smell the smoke. we were told we had to be off the ship at 10am on the last day. i totally understand this as the ship needs to get ready for the next cruise but when it ment was were were stuck in an airport for over 10 hours till our flight in the evening. this is poor service as well. yes i know we could of spent more money on an excursion but we had spend hundreds of pounds on what i see as wasnt needed. i am shocked and appalled at the very poor treatment we received from Royal Caribbean.
